Democrats are increasingly concerned about Kamala Harris’s prospects in the upcoming election, and given their candidate’s recent performance, it’s tough to blame them. The Harris/Walz campaign has gone from a dumpster fire to a train wreck, and things aren’t improving. It’s looking more and more like the best thing the Trump/Vance ticket could do is simply let their opponent keep campaigning.
But Democrats don’t understand what their real problem is: Their candidate, whom my friend and colleague Jeff Charles calls “Black Hillary,” is the worst presidential candidate since Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager Empress of Chappaqua. And ironically, these two terrible candidates face the same Republican opponent. Instead, Democrats are worried about Harris getting the ticket “peaked too soon.”

When Harris took the stage in battlefield condition Arizona On Thursday, she immediately described herself as an “underdog” for the second time in two weeks. It’s a word she has often used to motivate voters. This time, however, Democrats fear the sentiment reflects an uncomfortable reality behind it.
“Arizona, look, we only have 26 days until Election Day, 26 days. And we’re approaching the home stretch, and this is going to be a close race until the end, and we’re the underdogs,” Harris said, to which the crowd responded with barking dogs.
“So we have some hard work ahead of us, but we like hard work. Hard work is good work,” Harris said.
Consider that Kamala Harris wouldn’t recognize tough work from a pastrami and sauerkraut sandwich on pumpernickel; The woman has never done forthright work. But that is not the crucial point; What the Democrats are missing most is that they picked a terrible candidate, and that terrible candidate picked an even worse candidate to run in Tim “Great Walz of China.”

But look at the clueless language in that quote above. Yes, it looks like a close race, but the dynamics are clear, and not with the Harris/Walz ticket. The momentum is with Team Trump/Vance and, at this point, RealClearPolitics Average values of the contested states Trump is ahead in all cases except Wisconsin, where Harris has a razor-thin lead of 0.3 points – a statistical tie. Remember, the Harris ticket was in the lead in most of these states until September — but no longer, and all the bogus interviews, all the media tongue baths, and all the sycophantic magazine covers can’t make up for the fact that it’s Kamala Harris is just a terrible candidate.

Democrats are right to be nervous; It’s just that most of them are wrong about the reason. A Democratic activist who spoke on condition of anonymity (which we can hardly blame him for) seems to have it closer to the mark:
“Before this week, Harris was able to distance himself from all the things that went wrong in the Biden administration: chaos in the Middle East, at the border, and even all this recent misinformation about FEMA and hurricane funding -Recovery. said a Democratic activist who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about the campaign.
“Unfortunately, that changed when she failed to provide concrete examples in these interviews of how a Harris administration would be different, and that completely undermines her ‘A New Path Forward’ strategy,” the person said.
Closer, but not quite. At least this agent seems to understand that Kamala Harris’ inability to give examples of anything is hurting her. But when it comes to this “New Way Forward” strategy, the obvious question is:What Strategy?” Kamala Harris has never articulated a coherent platform. That’s partly because she doesn’t have one, and partly because she doesn’t know what such a platform should look like. She can’t answer the most basic questions about her plans should she win; and as we’ve seen recently, she’ll be vaporized if she loses her teleprompter.

Frankly, at this point in the campaign, every candidate should have a basic miniature speech memorized and be able to deliver it at any time. Kamala can’t do that.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Kamala Harris is a terrible candidate, not because of her plumbing skills or the color of her skin. She’s a terrible candidate because she’s never really been responsible for anything in her career; it failed upwards from the start; She is an absolutely terrible retail politician. Honestly, she’s not very astute and it really looks like she’s going to lose this election.
