There’s a feeling that the brain trust – if you can call it that – in the Biden campaign is panicking as his re-election seems increasingly in jeopardy. His poll numbers compared to his opponent Donald Trump are terrible, and virtually every public appearance is marked by lies, slurred speech and aimless ramblings.
You could almost feel their desperation as they tried to claim that it was actually Trump slurring and freezing up during his speeches. The team released a video on Sunday of the former president and likely GOP nominee speaking to the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Saturday. In the post, the Biden/Harris HQ Twitter account wrote that “Trump starts playing QAnon music during his bizarre, profanity-filled NRA speech.”
Question of the day: What the hell is QAnon music?
Trump does take a long pause as the music swells, but it certainly doesn’t look like a “freeze.” He doesn’t seem confused, searching for words, or unsure of what to do next. By the way, this happened after he had already spoken for an hour. In other words, the Biden team’s stance is completely disingenuous.

In the meantime, a post from a website called Biden’s Wins, which describes itself as “the largest online community of President Biden supporters,” reposted the video and wrote, “BREAKING: Donald Trump simply had a glitch at his rally tonight and froze.” He’s clearly not suitable for the office. Retweet so every American knows Trump is senile.”
This is getting pitiful. They have to do a lot better.
Trump didn’t wait long, pointing out in a Truth Social post that it was actually Biden who “frozen all the time, can’t put two sentences together, and rarely finds his way off the stage without help.” This seems to me to be a more effective line of attack than Biden’s because we have all seen exactly what Trump is talking about.
More retaliation followed, with Biden’s team doubling down on its claim that Trump had frozen out. If this is the best they have, things will only get worse for them.

There are legitimate lines of attack that Biden could utilize against Trump, but trying to harass him on his cognitive abilities and mental stamina is not one of them – such attacks mostly just remind Americans of the president’s very compromised state. I think it’s time for Plan B, folks.
