NOT GOOD: Another failure from Kamala, as the memo shows that 30% of the surveillance cameras on the southern border are broken

Kamala Harris keeps trying to run away from her abysmal performance as border czar of the Biden administration, but facts remain stubborn. Let’s take this for example fact that 30% of the cameras that are part of the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) remote video surveillance system are broken. In other words, vast portions of the southern border are unseen to CBP agents, resulting in countless “fugitives” disappearing into the United States without being vetted or tracked.

This information comes directly from an internal CBP memo and therefore cannot be easily dismissed as campaign fodder or hyped-up controversy. NBC News got its hands on the memo, which was distributed “to a group of agents along the southern border” in early October. According to NBC News, 150 of 500 cameras monitoring the southern border are out of order:

“The nationwide problem has a significant impact [Border Patrol] operations,” said a Border Patrol memo sent to a sector of agents along the southern border and obtained by NBC News

The widespread outage affected about 150 of the 500 cameras mounted on surveillance towers along the U.S.-Mexico border. The reason was “several technical problems,” the memo says. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive issue, blamed aging equipment and outstanding repair problems.

It seems no one is quite sure how long these cameras have been out of commission, and CBP officials confirm that there are areas of the U.S.-Mexico border that cannot be monitored at this time: “Two Customs officials and Border Patrol said some repairs had been made.” However, there are still over 150 requests for camera repairs outstanding this month. Officials said there were some areas that were inaccessible to Border Patrol because of broken cameras.

This only confirmed the suspicions of Republicans like Dr. Roger Marshall, the junior senator from Kansas, who recalled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ April statement in which Mayorkas was unable to answer questions about the viability of technology at the border.

The fact is that for a LONG time this government didn’t know who was coming into our country. We have no idea how many unvetted vacationers there are in our country – and border czar Kamala Harris wants the American people to transport them? No shot.

This story has largely flown under the media radar, but government officials, not to mention all Americans, should be deeply concerned that there are even more holes in our porous border than originally thought. And allowing so many illegals to brazenly and uncontrollably invade the United States has real consequences, such as Venezuelan gangs taking over parts of American cities and turning them into violent hellholes.

If the media even bothered to cover the story, it would be another disaster for Kamala Harris’s presidential ambitions. At the very least, this demonstrates their inability to lead and their refusal to protect American citizens, and voters should know that.

Those interested in protecting American citizens from the invading hordes, namely the CBP agents themselves, have found an ally in Donald Trump. As RedState’s Bob Hoge reported:

“[T]The National Border Patrol Council announced Sunday at a campaign rally in Prescott, Arizona, that it was endorsing Donald Trump.

Union President Paul Perez summed it up this way: “If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country will go to hell. The untold millions of people it has, unchecked. “People who are allowed into this country and commit murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and every other crime will continue to put our country in danger.”
