Fox News’ “Special Report” host Bret Baier has finally secured the interview with Vice President and Democratic candidate-elect Kamala Harris. Harris campaigned in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, and was proud of the former Republicans and people from the Trump administration who took the stage with her and expressed their support and support for her as a presidential candidate.
The entire interview was a disaster, but there were certain moments that were extraordinarily dignified and damaging, proving with blatant certainty why she is incapable of taking the lead.
Baier began with the topic of illegal immigration, and you could clearly see Harris slumping like a balloon before the first question was asked.

Harris immediately tried to persuade Baier to give the version of “I’m speaking” in this interview. Harris brought up the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, which she said would address the flaws in the asylum system with more judges, 15 million more border agents, higher penalties, curbing the flow of fentanyl, strengthening entry points and the way they respond worked toward, fixes bipartisan efforts to strengthen the border.
Baier gently pushed back with documented facts, and Harris briefly got the “deer in the headlights” look you get when she’s desperately trying to find her talking points. She then pointed to her supposed record as California attorney general (not her current position as vice president) as evidence that she knew how to handle this crisis. If you don’t understand that the fact that a crisis exists is evidence of your inability to fix it.
But the worst and worst thing about this illegal immigration issue was the fact that Harris couldn’t even find the words to apologize for allowing criminals into the country, resulting in the senseless deaths of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray and Rachel Morin led.

BAIER: Former President Clinton actually referred to Laken Riley, who was campaigning for you in Georgia on Sunday, and said, “If these men had been properly vetted, Laken Riley probably wouldn’t have been killed.”
So it wouldn’t have happened. This is long before any negotiation. This happened long before Donald Trump got involved in politics. This is a concrete political decision by your government to release these men into the country.
So what I want to tell you is…
HARRIS: No, no –
BAIER: Do you owe these families anything?
HARRIS: I think it’s really – I think –
BAIER: – An apology?
Harris immediately went into her trademark word salad, and honestly, this was her most terrifying look. Someone who constantly claims that she is a champion for women who want to protect their “reproductive freedom.” How about protecting her life? How about protecting them from attacks by men who should never have been in the country? Where is their fight for this?

HARRIS: First of all, let me say that these are tragic cases. That is beyond question. There is no doubt about that. And I cannot imagine the pain that the families of these victims have suffered for a loss that should not have happened. So that’s true. It is also true that it is a matter of border security [bill] If the law had actually been passed nine months ago, in nine months we would have had more border agents at the border and more support for the people working around the clock to keep everything together
BAIER: Madam Vice President –
HARRIS: –to ensure no harm occurs in the future. And this election in 20 days will determine whether we have a President of the United States who actually cares more about solving a problem, even if it’s not to their political advantage in an election, because there was a solution, Bret .
BAIER: Madam Vice President, it was a political decision at the beginning of your term of office. I’ll let one of the mothers talk about it. Listen to me.
[Nungary’s mother speaks about Alternatives to Detention Program]
BAIER: These are the beginnings. So do you owe them an apology?
Harris finally acknowledges the horror she inflicted on these victims and their family. However, she never made a real apology. Instead, she blamed the lack of a border security law and, of course, Trump.
HARRIS: I will tell you that I am so sorry for your loss. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sincerely. But let’s talk about what’s happening right now to a person who doesn’t want to participate in solutions. Let’s talk about that too, Bret –
BAIER: But do you want to answer the question?
HARRIS: -To be forthright – I told you, I feel terrible for what she and her family went through.
Harris’ face said it all. She looked like a cornered rat. This is a disgrace for anyone, but especially for someone who wants to be the leader of the free world.
There’s so much more that can be gleaned from this exchange, but the final moment that showed us Harris was done was when Baier asked her when she first knew Biden had cognitive problems.
REGARD:
“When did you first notice that Joe Biden’s mental faculties appeared to be weakened?”
HARRIS: *awkward pause* pic.twitter.com/I5TWVqZ42g
– Townhall.com (@townhallcom) October 16, 2024
BAIER: When did you first notice it?
Harris does the “quick look,” indicating that she had to find a lie.
HARRIS: Joe Biden is not on the ballot. Donald Trump is on the ballot.
BAIER: You met with him once a week for three years. Did you have any concerns?
From then on everything develops completely.
Here is my final assessment. You are running for President of the United States. You are expected to protect and defend the Constitution and to provide leadership, support and direction to the American people. Your defense or rebuttal cannot be, “But, but, Trump!!!!”
It’s completely messed up. And after her indignation and insult didn’t come to fruition, that’s exactly how she appeared.
Baier revealed during the panel that Harris actually showed up to her interview 15 minutes LATE, which left everyone feeling rushed. When she started filibustering, hedging, and delivering her word salad, it only added fuel to the dumpster fire of this interview.
The Trump campaign responded quickly.
Trump campaign statement on Fox News interview with Kamala Harris
“Kamala Harris’ interview with Bret Baier was a train wreck. Kamala was irate, defensive and once again denied any responsibility for the problems facing Americans. She couldn’t give a clear answer to a question…

Checkmate. If this doesn’t kill their campaign, I don’t know what will.
