I think it is an undeniable fact at this point that Senator JD Vance (R-OH) has been Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s greatest asset since he chose him as his running mate in behind schedule July.
The way he (without breaking a sweat) tore Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz to shreds at the Veep debate, coupled with the way he handled the liberal media’s stale talking points and his refusal Resigning from a fight – complete with receipts – are all things that have endeared him to conservatives in the Republican Party.
Not to mention how his blue eyes and occasional displays of “toxic masculinity” set hearts aflutter, but I digress.

Because Vance is so good at boiling things (and critics) down to their essence, the pro-Kamala Harris media naturally wants to lower him by a point or two in the eyes of voters.
This was the case on Thursday when Politico conducted a percussion piece via Vance, detailing his alleged speaking fees and demands for “first class” flights and cars during the 2017 book tour for his best-seller “Hillbilly Elegy”:
New: JD Vance demanded first-class flights, private cars and speaking fees of up to $40,000 from public universities in the Midwest during his 2017 book tour – with the University of Wisconsin Madison breaking off negotiations for a campus visit in part because of the fee.…

Here’s more of it the story:
Vance’s requests, negotiated through a speaker’s bureau and talent agency and documented in emails obtained through a public records request and provided to POLITICO, offer a glimpse into his meteoric rise following the publication of his memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy.” , at a time when his public comments about Donald Trump stood in stark contrast to today’s combative defense of his vice president.
If this was supposed to make people see JD Vance in a more negative featherlight, then… it didn’t:

While I don’t know much about speaking fees, the types of negotiations discussed in the article sound pretty normal considering what someone with a bestseller of this magnitude would get in return for their speaking engagements and appearances .
Whatever the case may be, Vance’s team had the right thing Answer:
“It is well known that Senator Vance, like many best-selling authors, was compensated for his speaking engagements following the success of Hillbilly Elegy,” said William Martin. “High-profile Democrats like the Clintons, Obamas and Bidens have earned tens of millions in speaking fees over the years. Politico should be ashamed for reporting on something so irrelevant to the issues that American voters care about.”
Really. I doubt that a single person who has read this article will think, “This is the final straw.” I’m not voting for Trump-Vance.” I mean, I could be wrong here, but I don’t think so.
