Most polls in the race between Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and his Democratic opponent Lucas Kunce have shown Hawley firmly in leadership. But some of them have put Kunce within shouting distance of Hawley, so with that in mind (and two weeks from now), one might assume he would be a little smarter and smarter about his choice of campaign rallies and his campaign participants.
However, that wasn’t the case, as evidenced by a shootout with union members organized by Kunce on Tuesday that quickly went off course – not just because he invited the fraudulent “Republican” NeverTrumper Adam Kinzinger to attend, but also because of what happened to a reporter during the shooting.

The man’s employer, KSHB 41 News, filed the following report:
HOLT, Mo. – A KSHB 41 News reporter was struck by metal shards Tuesday afternoon while covering a campaign event for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lucas Kunce.
Reporter Ryan Gamboa was covering the event Tuesday afternoon at a private home in Holt, Missouri — about 40 miles northeast of Kansas City — when he was hit in the arm. It was unclear whether he was hit by a bullet ricochet or another metal fragment.
Kunce was firing an AR-15-style weapon at the time the reporter was hit.

For some, the incident was reminiscent of the infamous 2006 hunting accident involving then-Vice President Dick Cheney. WHO “During a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, a companion was accidentally shot and wounded, with shotgun pellets spraying the fellow hunter in the face and chest.”
Luckily, Gamboa was fine after being treated and released from the hospital. Meanwhile, Kunce’s tweet about the incident, in which he focused on how he tended to Gamboa’s wound, drew some attention from Hawley and some of his senior Senate staff:
“Great day at the shooting range, we shot a reporter, but everything else was good!” What???? https://t.co/HTT18xDU96

Hawley himself was adamant:
While Kunce was busy shooting reporters, Erin and I traveled around the state… pic.twitter.com/uZc0DesE1F

Hawley’s colleague, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO), even got involved:
This whole Kunce cosplay can be risky.

I think there’s something to be said for the oft-repeated comment that Democrats and guns just don’t mix, and that’s clearly even more true when fraudulent Republicans like Kinzinger are involved.
In this context, there is currently a discussion about this on the Twitter/X machine, as shown by the photos shared by Kunce: “what you should never do“on a shooting range:
I’m sorry, but this tweet is insane. It contains a variety. The longer you look at the photos, the worse it gets.
1) They shoot steel with rifles from a distance of 5 to 7 meters, which could have killed someone given the force with which the bullets ricocheted off the steel targets. https://t.co/S6jiawDlFe
