With the election just days away, election integrity is rightly of utmost importance to many. The good news is that election authorities appear to be keeping a close eye on shenanigans and fending them off at the pass – something former President Donald Trump expressed his own concerns about as recently as today (Friday).

Many consider Pennsylvania to be the key to the race. As one of seven swing states, the Keystone State’s 19 electoral votes are crucial, and presidential candidates are fighting for them. Not only voter turnout is crucial, but also voter registration. And so we’ve seen an amazing amount of effort put into the registration drive this election cycle – with some positive results for Republicans. In 2020For the November election, there were 4,228,888 registered Democrats and 3,543,070 registered Republicans. Away October 21, 2024 (the last day of registration in Pennsylvania), there were 3,971,607 registered Democrats and 3,673,783 registered Republicans. So the Democrats have lost ground while the Republicans have gained ground.
The net effect of these gains is to destroy the blue wall/firewall that Democrats need to win in Pennsylvania – a fact acknowledged even by some who are decidedly not in the Republican camp, like Scott Presler already stated on Friday.
Inject this into my veins.
Republicans, carry on.

Scott Presler: The man who could decide the 2024 election for Donald Trump.
Late Friday morning, news broke that election officials in Lancaster County had discovered potential voter registration fraud affecting up to 2,500 registrations.

Shortly thereafter, officials held a press conference on the matter to share their findings so far.

Here is more on the information disclosed by officials:
Lancaster County commissioners and District Attorney Heather Adams said instances of voter registration fraud were discovered in a series of last-minute applications related to the city’s largely targeted customer survey since June.
A immense number of suspicious voter registration applications were dropped off at the county election office shortly before Monday’s deadline, county officials said. An investigation by prosecutors found false addresses, false identification information, false names, and names that did not match social security information.
Officials said one or two organizations that had conducted registration drives in the county in recent months were responsible for the applications. They did not name the organizations.
…
Adams said her investigators have found problems in 60% of the registrations reviewed so far. She did not say how many of the 2,500 applications had been investigated. She said applications come from residents of the city as well as Columbia, Elizabethtown, Akron, Ephrata, Stevens and Strasburg.
She also said the same organization or organizations responsible for filing the registrations are also believed to be vigorous in two other counties. She did not name those counties but said her investigators had reached out to her.
As was noted during the conference, a portion of the registrations were considered valid and would be treated as such.
Pennsylvania has had some recent legal victories regarding election integrity, which will hopefully coincide with efforts by local election officials to curb fraudulent registration and/or voting efforts.

While officials have not yet identified the organization(s) believed to be involved, some on the left were quick to point the finger at Presler’s organization, Early Vote Action. Presler has since issued a statement largely rejecting that notion.

It has been brought to my attention that Lancaster County has uncovered voter registration fraud.

The full statement is:
Statement to Lancaster:
It has been brought to my attention that Lancaster County has uncovered voter registration fraud.
According to the report, the majority of those 2,500 voter registration applications were submitted on time or close to the deadline and are dated Aug. 15.
I can say unequivocally that this has nothing to do with it @EarlyVoteAction.
Our staff will drop off voter registration forms as we register voters.
The most forms we’ve ever filed at one time was 400 in Luzerne County – right before we filed it [blue to red].
At a recent Lucerne County BOE meeting, the manager announced that one person had submitted a immense batch of forms dated June on time. This had no connection with @EarlyVoteActioneither. (This batch should also be checked.)
I am proud that our organization registered tens of thousands of fresh voters in Pennsylvania this cycle.
The reason Democrats attack us is because we are effective. They are also attacking us because their voter registration lead is the lowest in 50 years and their mail-in ballot “firewall” is lagging badly.
Additionally, we have made a concerted effort to register the Amish to vote in Lancaster – a group against which Democratic Governor Shapiro and the Department of Agriculture are waging war.
We look forward to the results of this investigation and who is responsible. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a democratic organization.
In the meantime, vote, vote early, vote by mail, and let’s deliver Pennsylvania for Donald Trump.
Let’s go.
RedState will continue to follow this story and report any updates as they become available.
