Since Election Day, there has been a lot of talk about the winners and losers of the various elections, but one group on the losing side that hasn’t garnered much attention after the events so far is the infamous Never Trump party. Rogue.
We’ve written about them here many times and how they betrayed their supposed “principles” for eight years, cashing another check from their fat Democratic donors and/or media overlords every time they opened their mouths, or in The Instance of One Group is said to have looked the other way during a sex offender scandal.
Of course, among the worst of all are the co-founders of the Lincoln Project, for whom no low is too low to bend.

With that in mind, we turn to further Election Day post-mortem commentary from Republican strategist/CNN political analyst Scott Jennings, who, as we previously reported, delivered some harsh reality checks to his colleagues and Democrats in the early hours of the morning about the message “We have fed up” that voters sent during Tuesday’s election.
A few hours later, Jennings proved he wasn’t done yet after a statement from Trump opponent Liz Cheney about the president-elect’s overwhelming victory prompted him to leave the race last tip in the entire Never/Anti-Trump campaign.
This is what the segment looks like started:
KASIE HUNT: Liz Cheney tweeted her reaction to Donald Trump’s victory just moments ago. Here’s what she says, quote: “Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night, and we have a new president-elect. All Americans have an obligation to accept the results of our elections, whether we like the outcome or not. We have one now.” As citizens of the greatest nation on earth, we have a special responsibility to do everything in our power to support and defend our Constitution, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions, our courts, and our members will remain in place for the next four years The press and those who serve in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.”
So of course Liz Cheney was committed to preventing Donald Trump from ever entering the White House again, but the Never Trump movement within the Republican Party has honestly not been confirmed here today.
This was Jennings’ response:
SCOTT JENNINGS: Great job. I mean, I – this whole complicated that never called Trump and that has grown over the last few years, nothing has ever failed as badly in politics as this. The Lincoln Project, all these people who built millions and millions of dollars from Democratic donors, and all the eggs that were put in that basket. The separation was amazing. Trump got about 94 percent of the Republican vote. I don’t think they accomplished anything except probably build a few beach houses. That’s exactly what they did.
Republicans have been lectured, condescended to, and intimidated by all these people lately – look, at some point it’s okay for us to have different opinions about the election. You don’t have to beat people to death because of it. And the more you do it, the more it drives people away. Total failure.

On CNN, @ScottJenningsKY accurately describes how the entire NeverTrump industry – the Bill Kristols and Lincoln projects, as well as Bulwark and Dispatch – are the biggest scammers we’ve seen in a long time, accomplishing nothing other than giving liberals money to buy modern beach houses to be kidnapped. pic.twitter.com/NshdwIHQap

I don’t think there is room for discussion there.
And while Trump’s “NeverTrump” critics like Rick Wilson and others would say, “Well, we helped get him thrown out of office in 2020,” the net effect of these efforts was to a) make Trump even louder and b) more balanced, more people acted in Trump’s direction (including large movers like Elon Musk and Joe Rogan), which culminated in one of the biggest (if not). The most spectacular comebacks in American political history.
Something equally delicious about voters’ rejection of this kind of tactic on Tuesday will be that in five or 10 years and beyond, very few people will remember much of the NeverTrump movement. But they will surely remember how Trump seemingly rose from the political ashes to seek revenge in the best possible way: through the ballot box.
