As Republicans bask in the glory of Donald Trump’s stunning comeback victory in the presidential election on Tuesday night, the question arises: Will Democrats do a little self-reflection? Will they do a 2012 GOP-style “autopsy” and do a little self-reflection, admit mistakes and figure out how to win back the favor of the American people? Perhaps the wound is still too open, but if the reactions of left-wing commentators during Tuesday night’s election coverage were any indication, probably not.

If you watched Fox News on Tuesday night and are like me, you endured Karl Rove. Exactly how many presidents ago was it relevant? You endured it too resident Liberals Jessica Tarlov and Juan Williams. Everyone is insufferable in their own way, but when Georgia, North Carolina and finally Pennsylvania came calling for Trump, Williams just couldn’t aid himself. He concluded that the reason Kamala Harris was headed for defeat was straightforward: Americans are…just…sexist.

Williams introduced the sexism charge by citing Old Believers, January 6th and “Insurrection!” His theory is that voters ignored Trump’s behavior on January 6 by not voting for Kamala Harris because she is a black woman. Wait what? Here is Williams’ “argument”:

“Would a white man have done it better?” Obviously Trump has defeated two women and now a black woman, so all of these questions arise. But in my opinion, for a man who essentially led an insurrection against the U.S. government to now return to the Oval Office, it seems incredible to me.”

Fellow panelist Brit Hume chimed in and reminded Williams that not everyone believed January 6th was a “riot”! He also brought up Democrats’ constant made-up warning that Donald Trump is a “threat to democracy.”

“You have to remember that a lot of people didn’t think this was a riot. They thought it was a riot, but not an insurrection. And if they had thought it was an insurrection, he probably couldn’t have won. I think there is exaggeration on this day about the alleged threat to democracy, part of what happened tonight.”

Then it was Bret Baier’s turn to explain the facts to Williams. He explained that Kamala Harris’ campaign ran ads focused on January 6, but those ads were not enough because they were the most vital issue to American voters were the economy and immigration. But Williams slammed black and Hispanic men, pointing out that the number of voters who voted for Trump was very high and that the reason was because she was a black woman. But the best part was that Williams didn’t let facts confuse him.

“That’s where we differ. I’m not sold on the idea that it was because of the cost of eggs. I’m worried that it was like, ‘Well, I’m not voting for this woman, or I’m not voting for this black woman.'”

Note to Juan: Just because you can afford eggs doesn’t mean the average American can, and they’re tired of elites like you dismissing that. Baier tried facts again and found that the poll data didn’t show this. Martha MacCallum also got to the bottom of the facts, raising the fact that many black voters feel that Democrats have abandoned them and the illegal immigrant issues they care about. But Williams desperately stuck to the racist, sexist card and continued to babble on about “the grievances of white men.”

That was enough for Rove, who stated the obvious.

“I find it extremely strange to suggest that black men are somehow biased because they vote for a white candidate who says, ‘I want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our great economy. I want you to be wealthier “I want to enable you to live a better life.” This is an appeal to their best instincts. He didn’t come and say, “Vote for me because I’m not a woman, vote for me because I’m a white man.” That wouldn’t have attracted those votes. They were drawn to him because they thought he was a sturdy, effective leader and they thought he would do something about the issues they cared about.”

Williams backtracked and accused Rove of distorting his words. But again, Williams couldn’t resist, suggesting that Trump was misogynistic, and that was what attracted male voters. For good measure, he added a little racism and talked about what he called a “bro strategy” for white men. He described it as:

“’I’m bad, I talk about women in the most derogatory way’, there are some men who say, ‘You know what? I want to be there. I want to be a badass, and I think they like Trump’s image.'”

Juan Williams and other Democrats are not yet aware that identity politics has become the latest “Boy Who Cried Wolf” for Americans. The reason Kamala Harris lost was because she was a bad candidate with disastrous policies. The other loser on Tuesday evening: identity politics.
