Reality sinks in after the DNC chairman was caught spreading a baseless conspiracy theory about the North Carolina election

As RedState previously reported, Democrats are really not coping well with Tuesday’s gigantic losses, particularly Donald Trump’s crushing loss to Kamala Harris, which not only gave him more votes than he needed, but potentially the popular vote as well.

Aside from the bizarre TikTok videos of so-called feminists screaming and shaving their heads warning of impending doom after Trump’s victory, there is also the intra-party civil war among Democrats that has now spilled out into the public eye so that the The whole country can see it – whatever. For many, it will be the first eye-opening glimpse of the raging left-wing fever swamps we have been trying to warn them about for many years.

It appears that Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison is also having some difficulty coming to terms with this, considering the baseless conspiracy theories he’s now spreading about the North Carolina election results:

The Twitter account that the failed 2020 South Carolina Senate candidate retweeted has nearly 800,000 followers, and as of this writing, the tweet has 14,000 retweets and counting, along with many comments from people saying in as many words say that something is wrong here.

Well, no, it’s not that.

First things first: As others pointed out, the Old North State didn’t perform “consistently in the blue” in every race except the presidential election:

We reported on Wednesday about some other notable Republican victories in Tuesday’s election here in North Carolina. Republicans won the races for auditor, state treasurer, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner and labor commissioner.

Additionally, Republicans appear to have retained (and possibly expanded) their supermajority in the State Senate and still have clear control of the House of Representatives, although pending some possible recounts they may be just one seat shy of the supermajority in that chamber:

To put it even more precisely: North Carolina is known for having a “shared ticket“Type of state like in 2020 when, for example, it re-elected Gov. Roy Cooper (D) but picked Republican Mark Robinson as lieutenant governor. In 2016, when Cooper defeated Republican Gov. Pat McCrory, Republican Dan Forest was re-elected as lieutenant governor.

It’s just what’s happening here, and the fact that it’s a swing state I think has a lot to do with it.

Certainly there is nothing wrong with questioning election results and believing that something nefarious may be at play. But in this case, Harrison has absolutely no evidence of that and, frankly, should know better given his position and also the fact that North Carolina is a neighboring state and how much interaction there is between the official party apparatuses in both states.

However, I was once reliably told that an unwillingness to accept the results of an election was tantamount to a desire to foment an insurrection or something, so I’m sure the condemnations from the Biden-Harris White House and the mainstream media will take place shortly. Yes. Every moment.
