The Justice Department is slowing down on the indictment of Trump

This is just the beginning. Now in huge foreign policy news, Israel’s national public broadcaster Kan [cited as Kann News in the below X post] reported. In your opinion Qatar told Hamas leaders who were in its territory that they were “not welcome here.”

That’s huge considering they were able to find a unthreatening haven there under Biden, and that puts them in trouble. The White House has not yet confirmed the report.

Republicans in the Senate, including Senators Roger Wicker (R-MI) and Jim Risch (R-ID) – the ranking members of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committee – had pressured the Biden administration to take tougher action against Qatar, and with Threatened consequences if they did not take action against Hamas assets and extradite the leadership still housed there:

“The defeat of Hamas is within reach, and ending the safe haven its leadership enjoys abroad is critical to defeating it,” Wicker, Risch and 12 of their Republican colleagues wrote in a letter sent Monday sent and received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Justice Free beacon.

“The government allowed Qatar to facilitate negotiations by hosting the leadership of Hamas,” the lawmakers wrote. “Hamas’ Doha-based leaders have exploited this agreement and used the relative freedom Qatar has granted them to oppose ceasefire negotiations in international media, host Iranian officials at Hamas headquarters in Doha and travel abroad .”

“It is long past time for the government to call on Qatar to freeze the assets of Hamas leaders, block their access to international media, deny them the ability to host foreign visitors and prevent them from traveling abroad,” they wrote the senators.

Now that Trump has won and Republicans will take over the Senate, Qatar knows things will change. They know that Trump won’t just be feeble and fire them like the Biden-Harris administration did.

While Democrats preached fear of Trump, the reality is that bad actors fear strength and exploit weakness. They have had weaknesses against Biden and Harris for four years. They know that strength is coming back, and in the face of that they are now backtracking.

Some like Townhall’s Katie Pavlich call it that “Trump effect.”

We’ll probably see a lot more of this as people realize they have common sense and the real adults are back in charge in January.
