Is California’s latest bureaucratic madness a direct punishment for its residents because of last Tuesday’s election? Although the Golden State remained reliably unmolested in the presidential campaign, we voted against Soros-backed yielding prosecutors like the infamous George Gascón and approved the Prop 36 crime measure.
Their latest move certainly feels like naked retaliation: California’s Air Resources Board (CARB) voted Friday evening to change fuel standards. Translation: They want to raise fuel prices, already the highest in the country, by 65 cents a gallon. This comes at a time when Gov. Gavin Newsom is taking to the national stage and vowing to defy Trump, even though the president-elect just won a massive election victory and what can only be described as a mandate for his vision has.
There is a phrase out there that says, “doubled down on stupidity”:
On Friday, the California Air Resources Board voted to revise its climate change program, which is estimated to boost gas prices by up to 65 cents. The vote was 12 to 2.
Ultimately, the changes will require gasoline, diesel and other fuels to meet higher standards for greenhouse gases. It also streamlines the way credits are awarded for lower-carbon fuels.
As of Saturday morning, the average gallon of gas in California cost $4.14, compared to the national average of $3.09. In Contra Costa County, the average is $4.60 per gallon.
🚨 Madness alert: Democrat geniuses who just lost an election because their extremist policies put pressure on the working class…
…announce a new plan to hammer the working class: California’s gas tax will boost by another 65 cents per gallon.

Welcome to Hotel California: Gavin Newsom doubles down on ‘Stupid’ opinion in response to Trump’s win
California’s Prop 36 passes, a clear condemnation of the soft-on-crime policies destroying the state
It looks like Los Angeles is about to jettison notorious woke district attorney George Gascón
Republicans in the state are fighting back against the madness, but they are so outnumbered in this one-party state that it’s difficult to be hopeful:
Before the vote, California Senate Republicans submitted a petition with nearly 13,000 signatures asking that body to postpone the vote.
“This is really going to have a negative impact on many millions of people here in California,” Senator Brian Jones said, adding. “And for this unelected board, made up of a group of millionaires, to even consider raising our gas prices now while Californians are struggling with the cost of living here in California, it’s unbelievable to me that we’re even having this discussion .”
Bay Area driver Tanner Ramsey said on behalf of all of us who aren’t millionaire entertainment executives: “Voting to make it higher just doesn’t make sense because we’re already making ends meet.” Many people live paycheck to paycheck.
Why is California’s Air Resource Board, made up of millionaires personally appointed by Gavin Newsom, waiting until Friday evening to vote on a policy that would raise gas prices for Californians by $0.65 per gallon?
Why did they wait until the election was over?

The 2024 election results are a stunning sight, and much of the nation showed its deep antipathy to the progressive policies that have led to the decline of virtually all of our major cities and skyrocketed the cost of living for everyone. However, the fight is far from over, as we see here in the Golden State, where climate extremists want to abolish your car with a tax and force you to either exploit perilous mass transit or buy an electric vehicle you neither want nor can afford .
Complete rejection. Oh, what a wonderful feeling! (VIP)
Newsom continues to seek higher office and is certainly considering a run for president in 2028. We got rid of the Kamala-Biden-Walz cabal, but we have to be wary of this viper because he has significantly more political skills than any of these three. His goal seems to be to keep looking the remaining residents in the eye, and somehow that helped him win the election. We must continue to expose him as the enemy of the common man that he is and ensure that he disappears into history after he leaves office in 2026.
