UP IN THE MORNING

Scott Jennings mocks the left’s subservience to Trump: ‘Didn’t expect Hitler to get so many meeting requests’

Jennings’ work on CNN cannot be admired enough. He’s a gem in a network that usually hires a token Republican sheep to be slaughtered by the four-on-one panels. And yet he often manages to defeat his liberal opponents and their hollow arguments quite easily.

“Thrill Up My Leg”: Gorgeous video compilation shows Democrat/Left media breakdown over Trump’s election

While it’s completely pathetic, it’s also kind of entertaining – especially now that Trump and the Republicans have thoroughly destroyed the Democrats and sent the biased media into fits of navel-gazing and crocodile tears.

WATCH: Megyn Kelly unleashes the hounds of hell on Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough

But tell us how you really feel, Megyn (Honestly, how awesome has she been since she said what she really thinks on her podcast?).

WHAT’S UP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

Hill Tuesday is a little busier with several meetings and hearings coming up, including:

  • Subcommittee on House Transportation and Infrastructure, Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management – “In the Eye of the Storm: Oversight of FEMA’s Disaster Preparedness and Response”
  • House of Representatives Subcommittee on Homeland Security, Transportation and Maritime Security – “Impact of Emergency Management Agency Cybersecurity Regulations on the Transportation Sector”
  • Senate Judiciary – Hearings examining the breaking of the Visa-Mastercard duopoly, focusing on creating competition and lower fees in the credit card system
  • House Veterans Affairs – Restoring Congress’ Power Over VA After Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo
  • House Subcommittee on Homeland Security, Border Security and Enforcement – “Trafficked, Exploited and Missing: Migrant Children, Victims of the Biden-Harris Administration” (witnesses include HHS whistleblower Tara Rodas)
  • House Oversight and Accountability – “Oversight of the Federal Emergency Management Agency”
  • Senate Judiciary, Privacy, Technology and Law Subcommittee – Hearings Examining China’s Cybersecurity Threat with a Focus on Big Hacks and Big Tech
  • Joint Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (US-Helsinki Commission) – Hearings examining 1,000 days of Russia’s war against Ukraine
  • Senate Subcommittee on Armed Forces, Emerging Threats and Capabilities – Closed hearings examining the activities of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, immediately followed by an open session in SD-G50

What’s going on in the White House?

President Joe Biden is still at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. He will attend the second day of the summit on Tuesday and then have lunch with Brazilian President Lula da Silva before returning to the states, where he will arrive at Joint Base Andrews delayed Tuesday evening.

Full court press…

It could be a busy day in court. Judge Juan Merchan postponed the decision for a week and will announce his decision on Tuesday on the question of presidential immunity and its impact on the Manhattan criminal trial of President-elect Donald Trump next Tuesday. It is also possible that we will see an appeals court decision in the civil fraud complaint. Perhaps.

Meanwhile, the trial of Daniel Penny continues in New York and that of Jose Ibarra in Georgia.

On Monday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered the commonwealth’s election officials to immediately stop their machinations. Additionally, the Georgia Court of Appeals, which is hearing an appeal on whether Fani Willis should be allowed to remain in the election interference case, canceled oral arguments scheduled for early December. The reasons for this are not yet known, but it could simply be that the court is planning to decide on the pleadings and does not consider argumentation necessary.

Morning rumination

There’s a lot going on in the world at the moment – a recent administration is taking shape, the current commander-in-chief is shrinking daily on the world stage, some pretty intriguing hearings are taking place on Capitol Hill, lots of developments in the legal field, some of which are worrying movements by foreign enemies. It is more like – as the children would say – “extra”. I can only recommend that everyone buckle up. We may be in for some turbulence.

LIGHTER COST

Happier donkeys.
