There’s a slim chance you need an example to understand why MSNBC’s ratings continue to plummet following President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris – as per “Morning Joe” co-hosts. Even worse was Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to play nice with “fascist” Trump – Friday’s episode of “The ReidOut” with host Joy Reid has you covered.

Reid and her guest, author Christina Greer, ignored the fact that Donald Trump not only performed better across all demographics — he also won in states where Barack Obama won in both 2008 and 2012 — and came to the idiotic conclusion , that … Racism against former President Barack Obama was partly responsible for Trump’s victory.

Reid, notoriously racist, opened the celebrations by railing against working-class, non-college voters.

This is an incredible trick that the Republicans – and the right in general – has played to get working-class, non-college-going voters to really align themselves whole-heartedly with the Republican Party. which is literally against fair wages, against overtime and in favor of everything billionaires want and voilà. How did they manage to do that?

Greer took the ball and ran with it.

Well, Joy, I quoted LBJ [President Lyndon Johnson] several times in the series, but to paraphrase his eminent quote: If you give the poorest white man someone to look down on, you can pick his pockets all day, and if you convince him, you know, long enough, then he will open his pockets for you, and that is what Donald Trump and the Republican Party have been doing consistently for decades.

Except paraphrase correctly democrat President Johnson’s comments, none other than Greer in the quote above, can be confirmed by facts. Furthermore, facts are the Last thing The left allows it to get in the way of their narratives. The author continued, suggesting that voters who supported Trump were too stupid to realize they were voting against their own best interests:

I mean, you go to work – union workers and say, “I don’t support unions, I support scabs, I don’t like paying overtime.” “I’m going to break the mold of the American economy,” and people still vote for him, so vote they consistently go against their interests because they don’t see Donald Trump and his billionaire best friend standing right next to him.

Stop the bus.

Tens of millions of Americans voted for Trump — regardless of education level — because they were increasingly struggling to make ends meet during the disastrous four years of the Biden-Harris administration. They struggled everywhere, from the gas pump to the grocery store to eating with family and buying clothes. Here, too, facts are meaningless for the left.

Then came the race card

Greer, as expected, pulled out the race card and placed it squarely at Trump’s feet (emphasis mine).

He’s essentially saying that you don’t… because Immigrants took it because Barack Obama and all his educated black friends took it. These are the things he has consistently said, and they listen while ignoring reality, their economic reality. They say it’s all about economic fears, but you and I both know that African Americans, especially African American women, understand the brunt of economic fears because we make 60 cents on the dollar compared to everyone else.

Wait.

While Greer was right about the wage gap between black and white workers, the rest of the story tells it all the rest of the story. The author seemed to be suggesting, or at least leading viewers to believe, that black workers earn 60 percent of what white workers earn in the same or similar professions.

In reality it is Main reason The existing gap includes factors that directly impact wages paid to black and white workers, such as: Educational qualification… This causes black income to shift relative to white income. Research has also found TThe gigantic impact that a college degree has on income.

And the MSNBC clown car moves on.
