At Thanksgiving, most people think about what they have to be thankful for.
Politicians tend to post things about family and friends, or maybe even how grateful they are to live in this country that has given so much to so many. It was a beacon of freedom.
Our Vice President-elect JD Vance recognized this.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Despite our challenges, we remain the greatest nation in the world, and I am very grateful for that – and for all of you!

But then there were people like former Obama official/MSNBC commentator Julian Castro, who seemed to go for the “Worst Take” award, telling Americans to thank “undocumented immigrants” for the food they eat .

Republicans share what they’re most grateful for this Thanksgiving
Apparently Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) didn’t want him to take the crown; She made her own bid for the worst version of Thanksgiving as Rebecca Downs at sister site Townhall reported.

This Thanksgiving we mourn the indigenous people killed by European settlers and the United States to steal their land. From here to Palestine, we stand in solidarity with all indigenous peoples fighting for freedom on their own lands.
But wait a minute.
Doesn’t she live on this “stolen land”? Then why is she still here? Is she suggesting that anyone who isn’t Native American should get out? And we could also argue that even “Native Americans” are not “native,” since they probably originally came from somewhere else.
We hear this rehash from 400 years ago every Thanksgiving on some level from the left. Yet they are all still here on the “stolen land”. Funny how that works. That’s because the left only cares about finding an excuse to denigrate the United States.
But then Tlaib also attacks Israel for good reason and says that from “here to Palestine” she stands with the “indigenous” people who are fighting for their country.
There are a few petite problems. First, one could certainly disagree with the claim that “Palestinians” are somehow more indigenous to the region than Jews. Second, and perhaps most importantly, did she just say she stands in solidarity with Hamas? Because that’s what it sounds like when she claims that she is on the side of the “Palestinians” who are fighting for “their country.” Do they care that they’re still holding American hostages?
If she was truly advocating for the native people, she should be advocating for the Jewish people, as many responded. She took her positions well.
Rep. Tlaib, Jews are the original inhabitants of what the Roman imperialist occupiers called Palestine after the Jews fought for their freedom.
We stand in solidarity with Native Americans.
Ask. When will you give your house back to the Native Americans from whom it was stolen? pic.twitter.com/aYjUXXbnYq
