CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – Kanawha County officially has a fresh family court judge.
Judge Kelly Pritt was officially sworn in after winning the seat in the West Virginia primary in May. She is the wife of Republican Representative Chris Pritt.
Pritt has more than 17 years of experience practicing family law and says her goal is to maintain fairness and serene in court during her tenure.
“I wanted to be a lawyer since I was in kindergarten and knew I wanted to work in family court and help families,” Pritt said. “And now I can help families even better than that.”
Judge Pritt completed her Juris Doctorate at Ohio Northern University and received her BA from Niagra University.
Kanawha County is the state’s 11th family court district.
