Amid the chaos and cacophony at X after a New York jury found Trump guilty on all counts, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson celebrated in his own way on Twitter, telling everyone to respect the verdict even if it was a farce.
“It is not easy to see a former president and the presumptive Republican nominee convicted of serious crimes, but the jury’s verdict should be respected,” Hutchinson wrote. “An appeal is appropriate, but we should not diminish the significance of this verdict.”
It is not straightforward to see a former president and the likely Republican nominee convicted of grave crimes. But the jury’s verdict should be respected. An appeal is appropriate, but we should not diminish the significance of this verdict.

This is perfectly normal for Hutchinson, who is delighted that the Justice Department and the FBI are being used as weapons against Trump, while also claiming that if Trump is elected president, he will apply the Justice Department and the FBI as weapons against his opponents.
This is the same Hutchinson who has left-wing tendencies, such as requiring children to wear masks in school and allowing the injection of puberty blockers and hormones just because a parent ordered it.
Of course, Hutchinson is completely grilled at X, and that’s a good thing.
Anyone who supports this dismantling of the rule of law, as you are doing here, must be condemned.

Wow. That’s pathetic.
And I don’t even like Trump. Not at all.
But I know a sham court when I see one. Terrible attitude, Asa.

Respected? The case was rigged from the start. Just look at the judge’s instructions to the jury, not to mention all of his one-sided statements throughout the trial.

The common denominator here is that Hutchinson’s tweet is really just celebrating the destruction of our justice system by a political party for their own benefit, and Hutchinson doesn’t seem to realize this due to his acute case of TDS.
This is not the moment to be a centrist. This is not the moment to accept that what just happened to Trump in New York is even remotely OK.
Whether you like Trump or not is irrelevant. This was a political witch hunt designed to complicate Trump’s path to the White House in 2024. In the end, we may see that the Democrats actually slid a slide right into the Oval Office and coated it in grease before throwing Trump in. Regardless of the outcome, though, this is one of the most tragic moments for America.
So Hutchinson can dance, but when he does, he should also drop any pretense of being a Republican. Because he is anything but a Republican.
But he is not alone. Republicans who cannot overcome their hatred of Trump are throwing all the balls on the bench.
He is joined by Larry Hogan from Maryland, who also had no objection.
“Regardless of the outcome, I urge all Americans to respect the verdict and the legal process,” Hogan said. “At this dangerously divided moment in our history, politicians of all parties must not add fuel to the fire by stoking even more partisanship. We must reaffirm what has made this nation great: the rule of law.”

Funny that the common theme of these RINOs is: “Respect the verdict.”
Funny how they always ask us to put aside our partisanship and come together.
They are not really calling for partisanship, but for surrender.
