I wrote on Thursday about how Van Jones and Lesley Stahl lamented the fact that legacy media seemed to be dying. Jones explained how it was beaten by independent media and that President-elect Donald Trump was right to recognize this, but the Democrats and the “political class” were far from it and persisted in the “door knocking” mentality of trying to get votes.
At least Jones got it and realized they had to make a change. Lesly Stahl, on the other hand, didn’t do that. She admitted to the Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan that the legacy media was “limping,” but blamed Trump and didn’t know how to not recover.
Lesley Stahl was very worried that “old media is dead”:

It’s crazy that she blames Trump for calling out her failures instead of admitting that there’s a good reason people don’t trust legacy media anymore.

During her podcast, Megyn Kelly offered a few suggestions for Stahl, as she reportedly had no idea how they would recover.
“I have lots of suggestions for you, Lesley,” Kelly offered.

“Should we go through them?” she continued. Then she set out to completely ruin Stahl.
“Maybe don’t say the laptop can’t be verified if that’s possible,” she said, referring to Stahl’s response about Hunter Biden’s laptop. How do you feel as a journalist if you don’t want to pursue this story?
“And then when your own organization confirms it, come out and do a mea culpa and admit that you embarrassed yourself.”
“Perhaps don’t secretly edit the presidential candidate’s interview with ’60 Minutes’ – your flagship program on which you are a host – without telling us, and then refuse to release the transcript if it becomes controversial.” , because you…” You’re more interested in providing cover for the Democrats than straightforward reporting.
“60 Minutes” edited the interview they did with Kamala Harris and reduced her word salad reaction. And honestly, we don’t know what else they edited since they refused to release a transcript or the full video of the interview. Which makes it seem like they might be hiding more nonsense.
Maybe don’t have a vice president debate where you only check one side. And then when your fact check is fact checked by the vice presidential nominee on the Republican side, turn off his microphone.
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head on what you can do about it.
Now that’s a complete evisceration if ever there was one. This is the reality, and Stahl should listen.
But they won’t do that, because that might actually require them to put their bias aside and do a little introspection.
