We’ve reported on the Democrats’ latest fear-mongering, warning of a “President Musk” pulling Donald Trump’s reins, telling him what to do and what to do with his impending presidency. Or that Musk will run for and win the Oval Office in 2028. It’s silly stuff, but they push this narrative on virtually every MSNBC and CNN show they can find.
The catalyst for their latest desperate attack was Musk, the world’s richest person, owner of X and CEO of Tesla, commenting on the bloated “continuing resolution” scheduled to be voted on Wednesday. After he, Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy all expressed their displeasure with the plan, the resolution was withdrawn (a deal was eventually reached on a smaller bill that passed in both the House and Senate and was signed by President Biden on Saturday to ensure the government remains funded until March 14).

Speaking Sunday at TurningPointUSA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, the president-elect expressed all the silliness. “No, he’s not going to be president, I can tell you that,” Trump said. “And I’m safe, do you know why? That can’t be right – he wasn’t born in this country – HA HA!”
Whether you’re a Trump fan or not, you have to admit he’s pretty comical:

Trump mocked the media for continuing to fuel the left-wing narrative.
The fraudulent news knows this [that Musk can’t become president]! No, he’s a great guy and we want him – all of them – so many people in this audience helped.
He thanked Musk for his leadership the swing state Pennsylvania.
Musk “went to Pennsylvania, and he stayed – stayed up there for a month and helped us win that state, which we won by a big margin.”
“So he was really good,” Trump added.
After the November election, Trump appointed Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to head a up-to-date agency – the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Although DOGE will only have advisory powers and cannot make budget cuts itself, both Musk and Ramaswamy have been vocal about their plans. So does Trump:
DOGE will “provide advice and guidance from outside the government” and work with the White House Office of Management and Budget, the president-elect said.
“It may become the ‘Manhattan Project’ of our time,” Trump added. “Republican politicians have dreamed of the goals of ‘DOGE’ for a very long time.”

DOGE explains why Democrats are stoking fear with their “President Musk” narrative. They are afraid that Elon, Vivek and Trump will actually get something done and cut their endless overspending and pork-filled bills.
Time to let go of the DOGE.
