That’s what the cocky novel president said in a meeting with congressional Republicans not long after his 2008 election victory. Although he was right, it wasn’t quite in keeping with his campaign theme: “There are no red states or blue states, only the United States.”
He spent eight years proving that his unifying rhetoric meant nothing.
Those words about “consequences” are coming back to haunt the Democrats now, as they find themselves on the losing end of the election, mired in confusion and discord as they all try to find someone other than themselves to blame for their failures .
I’m not a fan of (yes, she’s still) Vice President Kamala Harris, but even I can admit she had a losing hand – thanks to our crafty, conniving President Joe Biden. Yes, folks, he’s still the President of the United States, even though it certainly doesn’t feel like it.

Their relationship never recovered after Kamala essentially accused Joe of being a white supremacy racist during the 2019 Democratic presidential debates. Harris repeatedly defended the president against attacks on his age, fitness and ability to serve, even after the president resigned.

I have no sympathy at all for Ms. Harris because she has been a historically terrible candidate and exactly the wrong answer for the United States at this crucial time. She has joined forces with perhaps the most cowardly politician to ever sit in the White House, and she and hers deserve every little piece of cake that should and will be served to them.
Elections have consequences. Biden and Haris have set the Democratic (Marxist) party back perhaps – hopefully – by decades, and all I can say is that they deserve each other.
The story won’t do any of you any good, and I’m sorry (not sorry) to be scary, but for me it is indeed a joyful novel year. Enjoy!
