Citing what it said was renewed public interest, the FBI on Thursday evening released a “previously unreleased video” of the Jan. 6 “pipe bomb” suspect planting a device outside the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters.

It has been almost four years since the incident. And the FBI released one new Video to the public to identify the suspect.

“As part of a renewed call for tips from the public, the FBI posted on its Seeking Information website a previously unreleased video of the suspect planting one of the bombs near the DNC and announced that it was the size of the suspect is estimated to be around 1.70 m,” the office writes. “A reward of up to $500,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual.”

The video shows the suspect, wearing a gray hoodie like in other videos, fidgeting on a park bench outside the DNC before moving to the bushes and setting up the device.

The video also focuses on the suspect’s Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes, which were so unique that fewer than 25,000 of the sneakers were sold between August 2018 and January 2021.

Another identifying feature is the FBI’s estimate that the person in these surveillance videos is about 5 feet 7 inches towering.

David Sundberg, deputy director of the FBI’s Washington field office, explained why the new information is being released now.

“The tips the FBI has received so far have helped us advance the investigation, but they have not led us to identify the suspect,” Sundberg said. “Today we are releasing additional information about the suspect – including what we believe the person to be about 5ft 7in tall – to encourage the public to take a fresh look at the Seeking Information website and get involved to contact the FBI if she recognizes the suspect or has information about him.”

After four years it is difficult to take a “fresh” look at it.

To recap: You have a video that shows a suspect who is 5’7″ towering and wearing a unique pair of shoes on January 5, 2021 during a very specific time period from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m PM in Washington, DC… and they couldn’t narrow down the list to find that person?

Strange that they are releasing this data while two terror investigations are ongoing. One of them concerns an ISIS-inspired murderer who had become radicalized and posted several videos of his evil intentions on social media, in which he discussed plans to kill his family and had dreams that helped inspire him to join the terrorist group the FBI somehow missed it.

Almost like they’re trying to divert your attention.

As you can imagine, they were

“Your entire agency is a joke” Sean Davis of The Federalist writes.

“Really strange how you were able to identify all 1,500 people who even entered the capital’s grounds on January 6th, but you can’t find the person who planted the pipe bomb?” one disgusted person replied. “Nobody buys it.”

The FBI’s latest release coincides with an interim report released today by the Committee on House Administration – Subcommittee on Oversight and the Committee on the Judiciary – Subcommittee on Administrative Government, Regulatory Reform and Antitrust, which heavily criticized the prosecution that day as the investigation continues now almost four years.

As RedState reported, the joint effort focused heavily on the pipe bomb investigation and gave a very unflattering assessment of the FBI’s efforts.

It said the office “identified several persons of interest during the early weeks and months of the investigation,” including one “who owned the same unique pair of sneakers as the suspect” and who worked “in the area of the crime.”

“To date, it is unclear whether the FBI has determined whether this relevant individual was involved in the pipe bomb incident,” the report said.

“Despite its initial efforts, the FBI has not yet identified the suspect and has refused to provide subcommittees with additional information regarding these investigative leads.”

Why did the FBI drop this “previously unreleased video”? A clip of the suspect dropping the actual pipe bomb outside the DNC appears to have been useful evidence if they really wanted the public to identify this person.

The office said it would continue to offer a reward of up to $500,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Have they tried to cross-reference the information on these shoes with all confidential sources shorter than 5’8″? Maybe they could achieve something with this. Just a thought.
