Jenniffer González-Colón, who was recently sworn in as Puerto Rico’s 190th governor, was spotted performing the “Trump dance” during her inaugural ball.

Ms. González-Colón, who previously served as head of Puerto Rico’s Republican Party, was sworn into office on Thursday. Representative Carlos Giménez uploaded a video of her and her husband José Yovin Vargas performing some dance moves at the celebration the next evening.

“Congratulations to my dear friend and colleague Governor Jenniffer González-Colón of #PuertoRico on her amazing inauguration!” Giménez captioned the clip. “We love her dance moves!”

You may recognize the dance that the first couple of La Isla del Encanto performed. It swept the entire nation.

As you can see, the background refers to the 2025 Inaugural Committee. González-Colón also wore the same shimmering red dress in pictures the entrepreneur posted from the ball on Friday Soraya Sanchez.

It’s nice to see that the Trump dance craze has reached the Caribbean island. The same island, we were told, would completely reject the president-elect because a nervous comedian made a joke about them.

The dance began with Trump’s presidential election Campaign in 2020. He began shutting down rallies by preventing a performance of the Village People’s hit song “YMCA.”

Even beyond the aforementioned efforts, it’s clear that González-Colón has some grave dance moves. At the inauguration itself, she and her husband were once again seen dancing like a storm.

Imagine that. Cheering on an island now led by a Republican who supports President-elect Donald Trump. I guess this comedian didn’t quite have the potential he expected.

Her election, as RedState’s Streiff pointed out in the hours after the election, was one of several results that signaled “a fundamental reordering of American politics.”

While the inauguration clearly had a good time, Gov. González-Colón is already facing a major problem after Puerto Rico suffered a massive, nearly island-wide power outage on New Year’s Eve that put its infrastructure problems in the spotlight.

González Colón has promised to prioritize stabilizing the U.S. territory’s crumbling power grid.

“Our island faces many challenges,” she said in her letter first public address “That’s exactly what drives me to approach this first challenge with a sense of urgency.”

“I will fulfill my promises to you,” González-Colón added. “I will not govern only for those who voted for me. I will be the governor of all Puerto Ricans.”

As a delegate to the Congress González-Colón praised Trumps Relief efforts after Hurricane Maria devastated the area, refuting Democratic claims that it had failed the people of Puerto Rico.

“Thank you, Mr. President, for everything you have done for the island,” she said after insisting that Trump had sent everything Puerto Rico needed.

Now she’s governor and feels comfortable enough to start the Trump dance.
