It doesn’t matter what end of the political spectrum you are on. If you have a pulse, you are well aware of the seismic shift in America since Donald Trump’s stunning victory on November 5th. The left may not be ready to admit it yet, but the air is very different now regarding all things Trump. Of course, there’s still plenty of Trump confusion syndrome going on, but there’s also a whole host of entities that may just be starting to catch on. One of them is Amazon.

Former and future First Lady Melania Trump, who, despite being a First Lady, was quite a reserved person, signed a $40 million contract to produce a documentary about her life at Amazon. This documentary is set to include appearances from First Son Barron and President Trump. The deal also covers all future projects involving the first lady over the next four years. Another sometimes seemingly anti-Trump organization, Disney, was also in the running to produce the documentary. The documentary gives an up-close and personal look into Melania Trump’s life, from her humble beginnings in Slovenia to her modeling career and all the way to the White House. Melania Trump is one of only two first ladies born outside the United States the other is Louisa AdamsWife of John Quincy Adams.

Melania Trump, who was a shrewd businesswoman herself before meeting the president, will be the executive producer and “insists on control and consent.” Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is said to have taken an interest in the upcoming documentary and maintains a warm relationship with the president.

It’s a fascinating turn of events. Since the election, Bezos has also been joined by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman everyone made a pilgrimage to Mar-A-Lago. Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has become a fixture there. Since Trump’s reelection, the country’s tech titans have embraced the idea that working with Trump could actually bring them economic benefits. Bezos has donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund and plans to stream the show on the video platform Amazon Prime.

But if the world of Big Tech now extends a warm hand to Donald Trump, will others conclude that it might be in their best interest to do the same by extending a warm hand to his wife? In the past, most first ladies have graced the covers of fashion and home magazines. But not Melania Trump. Granted, most New York fashionistas avoid Republicans as much as possible, but in recent years even Barbara and Laura Bush have managed to find a cover or two. But not the First Lady, who was actually a model. Her husband was just too much for the fashion crowd and they stayed away from her. If a documentary about her life is well received, could that change in Trump’s second term?

While the documentary is in the works, Melania Trump says she’s involved a lot better prepared for life in the White House than before. While introducing her memoir titled ‘Melania’ in 2023, she said:

“I’m not worried because this time is different. I have much more experience and much more knowledge. I’ve been to the White House before. When you go in you know exactly what to expect.”

The documentary does not yet have a title and is scheduled to be released both in theaters and via streaming sometime this year.
