Riverside County, California, has historically been a moderate to conservative place; it was the only county in Southern California to vote to recall the impeccably coiffed Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021. The county’s political party affiliation is 40.49 percent Democrat and 31.31 percent Republican, with the rest being independent or “other party.” The county includes parts of six congressional districts that are evenly split between Democrats and Republicans.
Riverside County is neither a far-right nor a far-left place. In presidential elections, voters tended to vote Republican until 2008, but after that they voted Democrat.
This year it could be different if the elected county sheriff, Chad Whiteis any indicator.

In the video, Sheriff Bianco refers to his 30 years of law enforcement. He criticized Governor Newsom and the state government:
Over the last five years, I’ve been very critical of the governor for cutting our budgets, from corrections to early release of inmates to closing our prisons. I’ve criticized our state legislature for passing laws that make it harder to put people in prison. I’ve criticized him for changing laws that release inmates early, and I’ve criticized our attorney general for not seeming to care about crime and really being a burden on law enforcement. And this love affair that the governor and our state legislature have with criminals is based on the belief that criminals are not responsible for their own actions, but are victims of society.
The sheriff is clearly not joyful with the way the state’s Democratic-dominated government handles affairs, especially when it comes to law enforcement or the prison system.
But here Sheriff Bianco actually sets the rules and explains that he is rethinking his political positions:
I wonder if I’ve changed my mind and maybe I was wrong. And I think I’m going to switch teams. I know this is going to make some of you irate, some of you are going to be mad at me, but I’m going to switch teams. I think they’re on the right track there, but I don’t think they’re doing enough. I think we’ve got to do it the right way. You know me, whether you’re doing it right or not, you’re doing the greatest, you’re doing the best, you’re the best at everything, you can do something right if you’re already doing it. And I’m all in. I hope you’re all with me, I hope you all have that change of heart, you all feel that this is definitely the right thing to do, and you join me in this endeavor. I think it’s time that instead of letting them out of prison and giving them booze and drugs and everything else, we put a felon in the White House. (Pause.) Trump 2024, baby. Let’s save this country and make America great again.
Riverside County has also felt the effects of the federal government’s incompetence. Two Marines from Riverside Kareem Nikoui And Hunter Lopezwere killed in the Suicide attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan during the Biden administration’s headlong and incompetent escape from that war-torn country.
The Democrats seem to be losing some key people – and many people don’t like the way some leftists express their displeasure when they lose an election.

The sheriff made this statement with a certain mastery; although he speaks in a scratchy, down-to-earth tone, he has a gift for rhetoric. Every issue he mentions is local or state-level; only at the very end does he confront us with his intention to take the top-down approach: to vote for Donald Trump.
Well said, Sheriff Bianco. We certainly hope that your constituents, the people of Riverside County, are listening. And we hope that many other people are listening to you, too.
