Bill Maher is issuing a stark warning to Democrats after their disastrous performance in the November election, predicting that they face extinction if they do not adapt to the needs of American voters.

Maher made the comments during an interview with Fox 11 host Elex Michaelson for “The Issue Is.”

While the comedian noted that he is committed to expanding the rights of supposedly marginalized people, he said Democrats “don’t know when to stop.”

“That was the message from voters, you know, that the Democrats are all for the oppressed, and what the voters said was, ‘You know what oppresses me? The price of eggs. OK? This is what oppresses me,” Maher said.

The “Real Time with Bill Maher” host pointed to Donald Trump’s historic gains among minorities in the 2024 presidential election, a sign that people were more worried about their personal finances than whether the next one would be Government would or would not hire the next first black man, female, lesbian, left-handed.

He then urged the Resistance Party to curb its extremism and adapt or die.

“Right now I don’t see it in the Democratic Party,” Maher said of their possible turn to reason. “I see them digging the hole even deeper. But we’ll see.”

“I think parties fundamentally want to survive, like all organisms, but the Democrats could go the way of the Whigs,” he added. “You know, parties die out if they don’t adapt.”

From his lips to God’s ears. If the Democratic Party burned itself, America would be better off.

The Whig Party emerged in the early 1830s as a coalition against Andrew Jackson. They saw the rise of notable leaders such as Henry Clay and William Henry Harrison, as well as a handful of presidents including John Tyler and Zachary Taylor.

Most would eventually rejoin the newly formed Republican Party and its anti-slavery platform. The end of the Whigs as a national political force was complete by the end of the 1850s.

This isn’t the first time Maher has admitted that Democrats have gone too far with their craziness.

“They just think that the far left has gone so crazy on so many issues,” he told Jane Fonda on his “Club Random” podcast last month.

In another episode, Maher told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith that the Democratic Party has clearly been “ideologically gripped by identity politics.”

“And most Americans are just anti-crazy. The Democrats are now campaigning as if the voters don’t live here, as if they don’t live here.”

In the end, Maher told Michaelson that the party would eventually get things under control and move on somehow.

“As they say in Jurassic Park, life finds a way. But we’ll see. It’s up to them,” he concluded.
