Kai Madison Trump, the granddaughter of President-elect Donald Trump, is feeling some “butterflies” as Inauguration Day approaches. The nerves are exactly what you would expect from a teenager.

The 17-year-old posted a video explaining that she was *gasping* skipping school. But for a very good, if not unique, reason.

“I left school early because I have to prepare for the inauguration,” she told viewers. “And I’m not prepared.”

Kai spends the afternoon playing a little golf – she announced a Commitment to golf in August at the University of Miami – and then goes to the mall to do a little shopping. Afterwards, she’s upset that she doesn’t have a dress for Inauguration Day.

“I’m not nervous, I’m just excited,” she explained. “I have something like butterflies in my stomach.”

And she’s feeling “a little stressed” because she doesn’t have an outfit for her grandfather’s gigantic day.

Considering that the president-elect was the victim of two assassination attempts over the summer, there may be even more pressing concerns come January 20th. But it’s nice to look at a historic moment in American history from the perspective of teenage people.

Maybe we can’t imagine how nervous it is to dress for an inaugural ball. However, what Kai later says in her social media video is extremely relatable to every American. It essentially means, “Thank God Trump won.”

Kai Trump talks about the excitement of the family being back in the White House and hints that she might give viewers a tour. Then the message becomes very real.

“I mean, I’m really glad he won, and I think it’s just so important for America and for our family that he won,” she said.

“I think the next four years will be the best four years America has seen in a long time,” she added. “I’m so happy for him.”

During her speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) last summer, Kai Trump mentioned that her grandpa always keeps up with her golf game and that he likes to play mind games when they’re not on the same team.

“In the middle of the school day he calls me to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his, but then I have to remind him that I’m at school and have to call him back later,” she said.

“If we play golf together and I’m not on his team, he’s going to try to get into my head,” Kai added, before adding that inflammatory note that brought the house down.

“But I have to remind him that I’m a Trump too.”

Like her grandfather, Kai has some skill on the links. She won the women’s club championship at her grandfather’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida. Earlier this year.

She posted a video of her and the 47th President of the United States play a roundwhich she captioned, “Sundays with Grandpa.”

Kai will play college golf with the Miami Hurricanes in 2026.

In a video announcing her verbal commitment, she said: “I want to thank my grandpa for giving me access to great courses and great support.”

All this and he’s now going to have the best four years America has ever seen? That’s a great guy to have as a grandpa.
