Joe Biden got the border under control.
But after taking office, he immediately issued executive orders that undid everything former President Donald Trump had done to maintain order.
Now, with the election approaching and Biden’s prospects bleak, especially on the border, he is trying to get something done in the form of an EO, even though he has long said he needs congressional action to do so.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said, as far as they know, It’s a mess.
“From what we’re hearing, it ignores several elements that need to be addressed, the elements that were in our legislation that we passed over 14 months ago to fix the broken asylum program, fix the broken parole process, reinstate the ‘Rest in Mexico’ policy, and end the catch-and-release policy that they’re promoting,” Johnson said, referring to the Republican-led border crackdown legislation passed over a year ago.
The bill, titled HR 2, was doomed to failure from the start in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
“Whatever compact measure he [Biden’s] What we are going to do here is not going to solve the problem. In fact, by some estimates, it could make the problem worse because it is extending the welcome message again… to give people an incentive to come. “Be among the first 2,500 people,” we hear… “the first 2,500 a day to come in,” to make sure you get your welcome package if you come in illegally. This is absolute madness.”
Even vulnerable Democrats facing arduous elections have declined Biden’s invitation to his announcement on Tuesday. No one wants to be associated with Biden’s failure on this issue.

He’s now trying to flip the script and pretend he’s doing something to improve the election results because he’s polling so poorly with Americans on this issue. But he’s had more than three years and all he’s done is make it worse by his own actions.
Some of the Republican senators gathered on Tuesday and spoke out against Biden’s misguided actions, including Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA). Ernst criticized Biden’s inaction, saying he could have secured the border long ago instead of destroying existing security.

But then she had a hilarious moment when she was caught with a hot mic as Republicans left the podium after her press conference, which perfectly summed up why no one should ever trust Joe Biden:

“Bottom line: Never trust a man whose uncle was eaten by cannibals,” Ernst said, referring to the strange, false story Joe Biden told about his uncle Bosey, whose plane crashed in Papua New Guinea during World War II. Biden did not tell the truth about his uncle’s service or how the plane crashed, and there was no evidence whatsoever that cannibals were involved in any way. This even angered Papua New Guinea’s prime minister, who said, “President Biden’s remarks may have been a slip of the tongue; however, my country does not deserve to be labeled that way.”
It’s such a perfect comment on Biden because so much of what he says is just bullshit. And it’s great advice that I hope voters remember in November because imagine how twisted you are if you even lie about your uncle’s death to make it even more dramatic.
This is the best Hot Mike ever! 😂😂
