It’s often been said that President Donald Trump brings out the worst in his left-wing critics, and that has certainly proven true over the last 24 hours or so as the inaugural caucuses continue and leaderless, irate Democrats struggle to come to terms with reality , which they faced failed and failed miserably.
A typical example of this is Mariann Budde, a notorious one Anti-Trump Episcopal bishop of Washington National Cathedral who decided to play politics during Tuesday’s National Prayer Service by lecturing Trump and Vice President JD Vance on LGBTQ-related and illegal immigration issues.
As we reported, she said the following during the service:
And the people who pick our crops and spotless our office buildings, who work in poultry farms and meat processing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat at restaurants, they may not be citizens or have the right documents, but the huge majority of immigrants are no criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors.

Trump and Vance, of course, weren’t the least bit amused, and the looks on their faces – especially Vance’s – spoke volumes about what they were probably thinking:
🚨NEW: Trump, Melania, JD Vance and Usha were indirectly disparaged by Bishop Budde at the National Prayer Service – instead of a pep talk, it was a lengthy rebuke of Trump’s actions and an embarrassment of his administration’s goals. It was a politically armed service pic.twitter.com/1FvSEz9BEj

Someone else who wasn’t amused was first-time Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), a Colombian-born immigrant, who used the Twitter/X machine to disparage both Budde and the talk she gave:
As a Catholic and legal immigrant, it is outrageous that a woke bishop would lecture President Tump about deporting illegals. It is an insult to all of us who came to this country in the right way.
If there are no borders, then there is no country.

We haven’t heard much from Moreno since he was sworn in, but that was certainly a good start.
Here’s what will happen: As she did after the kindergarten at St. John’s Episcopal Church was set on fire in the spring of 2020, allegedly by Antifa/Black Lives Matters-led wacktivists – which she did at the time Budde will be blamed on Trump for getting her chance to shine in the media spotlight, in the usual places like PBS and probably MSNBC.
But what it has actually done is made things much worse for Democrats, because this is the kind of annoying, woke talk that voters soundly rejected on Election Day, and the “rally round” effect, that her comments will provoke among leftists will only exacerbate her myriad problems when it comes to connecting with average American voters.
I’m the last one standing in the way while my political opposition destroys itself, but damn – talk about clay pigeons! My goodness.
