One of the most glorious aspects of yesterday’s premiere of Trump 2: The Return of the Donald was the reaction from the legacy media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself). The meltdowns, the hysterical screaming, the utter denial, the shouts of “RHEEE” heard from the International Space Station – it’s all thoroughly entertaining and fills us with joy.
However, we should not forget that some people in the elderly media are on our side. One of them is CNN’s Scott Jennings, and his reaction to President Trump’s inaugural speech was meaningless just before sublime.
Honestly, I thought that was an incredible speech, and it was really remarkable to see Donald Trump indicting these gangsters right in front of him while they had to sit right in front of him in that intimate setting in the Republican Rotunda. They had to stand by and do nothing, just minutes after the Biden we see here pardoned his entire family. I mean, it was lovely.
By the way, I love the rotunda setting. I thought it was royal. I thought it was great.
And as I listened to him discuss how he will wield his power today, I was reminded that he is absolutely on the rise. He is currently at the peak of his political power. And you know, the prospect of a up-to-date presidency is enormous.
Gangster! Haha! Trump ascendant! Haha! At the height of his political power! Fantastic! And as Mr. Jennings points out, Joe and Jill Biden, Kamala Harris and Doug “The Slapper” Emhoff had to sit there and take it, with expressions that might have reflected a sudden influx of alum. Splendid.
Scott Jennings is the best thing CNN has to offer right now. As the rest of the legacy media melts into a quivering, gel-like mass, Jennings drops some sedate truth bombs.

He continues:
You get this power and you have influence. And the mission is to change people’s lives for the better and restore American prestige. And he immediately began to explain how he would do it.
The mission is basic. It’s an economic relief. It’s about solving the immigration crisis, turning the country away from the cultural left, and restoring American prestige.
The speech hits several points in this regard. And I agree with Caitlyn today. Republicans feel vindicated and Trump is back to fix the country.
Yes, it’s an order. Yes, Trump intends to accomplish the job he was elected to do: fix the economy, curb DEI and other crazy policies, bring the borders under control, and restore some semblance of sanity to the federal government. Scott Jennings understands this. Furthermore, he seems very cheerful with it.
The elderly media needs to get its act together. Public disappointment with a president elected with a sedate mandate will not assist their ratings, which have already been plummeting for some time. Unless all legacy media outlets want to replicate The View’s viewership with literally dozens of viewers, they must acknowledge that there has been a seismic shift in the American political landscape and that Scott Jennings represents The View’s views much more American as Rachel Maddow.
America is back, baby.
