The press obsession with January 6th continues despite its outright rejection at the ballot box in November. As President Donald Trump pardoned most of the participants, many of whom were unjustly victims of crimes who should never have been charged, and in a jurisdiction that ensured the game was rigged against them, the hand-wringing has only increased .
As I wrote shortly after Trump emerged victorious over Kamala Harris, Americans simply don’t care about January 6th. They have moved on to issues that actually affect their everyday lives, and the press’s continued virtue-signaling about them has become offensive and tone-deaf.

The bigger point here is that no one cares. Americans want cheaper food and the ability to buy a home. They do not prioritize the virtue signaling of the left in Washington over their own well-being. This shouldn’t shock anyone, although it seems overwhelming to the mainstream press and Democratic politicians.
Of course, although this is obvious to most people, no one has ever accused mainstream journalists of being harsh. This brings me to a confrontation Marjorie Taylor Greene had on January 6th with a reporter who was stalking her.
Forget whether you like Taylor Greene or not. I don’t blame people if they think she’s gone a little too far at times, but what she’s saying here is something everyone needs to keep in mind every second because it’s bigger than the person doing it says.

REPORTER: (Inaudible, but asking if Taylor Greene will give tours to pardoned January 6 participants)
TAYLOR GREENE: Are you really just talking about the J6ers who were pardoned? Okay, are you going to talk about the Biden family that was pardoned? NO?

TAYLOR GREENE: What about the rapists, murderers and murderers that Joe Biden pardoned? There are tons of them. Is that even a focus?
REPORTER: Well, I’m asking about January 6th

TAYLOR GREENE: I know you’re asking about that, and I’m not going to do that. This crazy place up here and all your obsessions with January 6th are absurd. Everyone out here is unwell and tired of it. I’m earnest, and so Joe Biden pardons all these murderers, rapists, and disgusting people, and then everyone up here has their panties in a bunch because the J6ers were pardoned. Many of them walked through open doors. That’s it. But everyone up here says, “Ah, J6!”
Let’s pause for a moment because I want to acknowledge the question that has been asked. This reporter’s first thought on January 6 is not whether or not some people deserve a pardon. The issue is not whether the Justice Department unfairly targeted people with its allegations never would have charged in any other situation. It’s not like the court system and a number of judges have made this clear no one was allowed to mount a real defense. No, this reporter fears that Taylor Greene might give some of those pardoned a “tour” of the Capitol.
To be clear, there is absolutely no indication that the congresswoman intended to do this. What this reporter is doing is spreading a debunked conspiracy theory that certain Republicans gave “tours” to people who participated in January 6th before the insurrection broke out, with the belief that they were somehow involved.
But as Taylor Greene vividly points out, people are tired of this stuff. January 6th was four years ago. It is no longer a factor in American life, and if voters still cared about it, They would never have re-elected Donald Trump.
REPORTER: But you were so outspoken about the 6ers in January…
TAYLOR GREENE: Yes, I have, but they are pardoned and thank God I hope they can move on with their lives and put something back together because they have suffered enough. Make a story about all the Antifa and BLM people who never went to prison. Over 95 percent of them. Seriously. Think about it and write a story about these towns that BLM burned to the ground and never rebuilt. They raised all the money through ActBlue and never rebuilt these communities.
REPORTER: You don’t think it’s a fair question to ask because you were so blunt…
TAYLOR GREENE: I think so, it’s disgusting. I’ve watched all the Democrat-run networks ad nauseum around January 6th and they just can’t get over themselves, but they don’t give a shit about real Americans.
REPORTER: The speaker appointed a special committee to investigate January 6th, so it’s not like Republicans aren’t talking about it.
TAYLOR GREENE: No, no, that was your question. “Will J6 people come? Will you give them tours?” I’m so unwell of you and all this crap.
REPORTER: The reason I ask this is because other people have said this, and I’m assuming that you’re one of the people who also does tours because you’re close to some people.
TAYLOR GREENE: Because you suspect it. You know, the problem is that you never gave me a fair chance to begin with, and you had all these assumptions, all these headlines and all these lies. So they asked me: Why don’t you make a story about what people care about? People care about the border, the economy and energy. They are tired of wars abroad. They are tired of the hypocrisy up here and hate the media right now. You do it, I mean it. You have created a situation where you are not trusted and people are all fed up with you. And it’s unhappy. I’m earnest, it’s unhappy.

TAYLOR GREENE: No, I’m not answering that question.
What else can you add to this? Taylor Greene spoke for a lot of the people there. This country has real problems to solve. None of this is solved by the fact that the press continues to say “6. January” screams. It is precisely because they continue to do this that legacy media has the lowest approval and trust ratings in history. Nobody believes these people are heartfelt anymore. They see them as dishonest activists because That’s exactly what they are.
