“We said that our schools will not be protective schools in Oklahoma,” Walters, the superintendent of the Republican state, told Connell McShane from Newsnation on Wednesday.

“We will work with President Trump,” said Walters. “If he needs the information, we will get it for him.”
The rule that the board approved unanimously Tuesday has criticized many teachers and bourgeois freedom groups.
Parents and students protested on Tuesday evening in front of the state’s educational building, and some parents said they were considering pulling their children out of school or moving.
When asked whether the guideline could keep students from fear of ensuring immigration status, Walters said that it was about keeping families intact.
“If the president and the ice cream do not know where the families are, where the students are, they will have families who are deported without their children,” said Walters.
He added: “This is what the American people asked. President Trump fulfills a promise.”
The rule must still be approved by the legislator and the governor before becoming official.
