Washington (AP) – The nomination process for President Donald Trump’s appointments takes off pace, with some of the Senate and hearings confirm for more of its cabinet selection.
Some are already at work. Others appear before the committees monitor the agencies, the Trump, a Republican, that they want to run.
Here is a look at the schedule for some of the Senate’s hearings:
Wednesday
10 a.m. EST: Lori Chavez deremer, Ministry of Labor
The former Republican congress member from Oregon narrowly lost the re -election last year, but had robust support from union members in their district. Chavez deremer would monitor the workforce and the budget of the department and set up priorities that influence wages, health and security of employees on the rights of employees on the dismissal of employees. It is one of the few Republicans of the Republicans from Haus to support the “protection of the right to organize” or benefit, with which more workers can carry out organizational campaigns and punish companies that violate employee rights. The law would also weaken the laws of “right to work”, which are available in more than half of the states. It will appear in front of the Senate Committee for Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee.
Thursday
10 a.m. Esta McMahon, Ministry of Education
Trump is preparing to impair the department to the extent of its power, since most of its expenses – and its existence – are ordered by the congress. An executive order in preparation for the White House would instruct his educational manager to withdraw the agency, but to demand the congress to say goodbye to a measure that it has abolished, according to the plan. At a press conference this week, Trump joked the first task for McMahon: “I want Linda to get out of a job,” said Trump. The billionaire Professional Wrestling Mogul led the Small Business Administration in Trump’s first term from 2017 to 2019 and, as a Republican candidate, ran twice unsuccessfully in Connecticut. McMahon worked for a year from 2009 at the Connecticut Board of Education. She has expressed support for charter schools and school selection. Most recently, she was co-chair of Trump’s transition operation and helped the elected president in his second administration. It will occur in front of the Senate Committee for Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee.
