Washington, DC (WoWK) – A Republican group of US representatives has introduced a legislation that would prohibit financial institutions to pursue the persecution of weapons and ammunition sales. Congressman Riley Moore (R-WV) was among those who sponsored the law.
According to Moore, the goal of legislation would ban the legislation with a “new, unique dealer category code” for firearms and ammunition transactions. He says that financial institutions operate the category codes of the commercial categories to organize consumer data, but it is of the opinion that they can be used to “pursue certain parties of consumer goods”.
“I spent most of my compact career in the public service of financial institutions that drive a political agenda. Let me be clear: Any attempt to collect data about Americans who simply exercise their rights given by God is wrong and I will not stand for it, “said Moore.
According to Moore, these codes could be used by banks and credit card companies to create data about gun owners. He says that such a operate would be a “disturbing lack of privacy” and that West Virginia already has a similar law.
“We have seen how the bidet management has put financial institutions under pressure to hand over data about its customers and the possibility of a private database of gun owners who fall into the hands of a future anti-weapon management is unacceptable.”
Together with Moore, representatives who sponsor the law template, Richard Hudson (R-NC); Andy Barr (R-Ky); Aaron Bean (R-fl); Ben CLINE (R-VA); Scott Perry (R-Pa); Beth van Duyne (R-TX); Brett Guthrie (R-Ky); Mike Collins (R-GA); Brad Finstead (R-MN); Barry Moore (R-Al); Daniel Webster (R-Fl); Michael Gast (R-MS); Michael Rulli (R-OH); Roger Willaims (R-TX); Clay Higgins (R-La); Mike Bost (R-il); Claudia Tenney (R-NY); Derek Schmitt (R-KS); Tim Moore (R-NC); Dan Newhouse (R-WA); James Comer (R-Ky); Steve Womack (R-AR); John Rose (R-TN); Rudy Yakum (R-in); Brandon Gill (R-TX); John Rutherford (R-Fl); and Addison McDowell (R-NC).
