WATCH: Sunny Hostin claims there are no black conservatives in an ignorant rant

I have to confess that I have never watched ABC’s “The View.” Not a minute of it. I know – shocking, right? Unless, of course, I’ve come across a clip on YouTube in which the latest Mensa-level genius line comes from one or more of the ladies. This was one of those clips.

Even better, the star of tonight’s show is none other than the extraordinary, openly anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin, who, in her smug eyes, is a true genius.

In Friday’s invigorating episode, the ladies got excited about the idea that black Americans can be conservative. Hostin explained that believing in the existence of black conservatives is tantamount to believing in the existence of “unicorns.”

A special topic for the ladies was Republican Representative Byron Donalds (FL) and Comments he recently did an article about the black population in America under Jim Crow. The nonsense was started by Blowhard (Joy) Behar:

So my question is: Does Byron Donalds not know the story or is he just trying to curry favor?

Of course, Donald knows the history. And unlike the ladies of “The View,” he looks at history objectively – a concept that is foreign to the left.

After Sara Haines continued blabbing in response to Behar, Ana Navarro did what she always does: (emphasis mine)

If he doesn’t know, then he should be ashamed, because in my opinion there is nothing worse than when people achieve a certain status and certain rights and do not appreciate the struggles, the deaths, the fights, the demonstrations and take them for granted. everything that was needed to give Byron Donalds the chance he has now.

Because Under Jim Crow law, he was not allowed to vote, he would not have been allowed to serve in Congress, and he would not have been allowed to marry his wife.

He is married to a lovely woman named Erica, who is white. Intermarriage was illegal in Florida until 1969. We could have… had not attended Florida State University for over 100 years, black students were not admitted to this university. About Under Jim Crow, 250 blacks were lynched in Florida.

Let’s pause the tape for a minute.

See what Navarro did here? She brought up the cornerstone of the Democratic Party’s “black strategy,” which states, “We must not allow black America today to forget the history of black Americans in the past.”

From slavery to Jim Crow laws to the civil rights struggles of the 1960s and beyond, the Democratic Party knows full well that its best chance of retaining the majority of black voters is to cling to at least some semblance of darker times in the past and to portray Democrats as saviors of the present.

Once again, Hostin could not grasp the concept of a black Republican. Referring to Byron Donalds, the excited wunderkind said:

I thought it would be intriguing that the setting was a room full of black Republicans. Where are they? Where are they? Because if you look at the statistics, 77 percent – 81 percent, excuse me, of black men are members of the Democratic Party.

Black voters consistently support the Democratic Party. Ninety – over 95 percent of black women are members of the Democratic Party. These black men he spoke to, I would love to see them. It would be like looking at unicorns.

Oh, Sunny.

The conclusion

Neither 77 percent, 81 percent nor 95 percent are 100 percent. Anyone who follows these things, including Byron Donalds, knows that blacks overwhelmingly vote Democrat. That’s not news.

But according to logical and straightforward mathematical calculations, potentially between five and 23 percent of black Americans remain who are not Democrats. Therefore, it is conceivable (and a fact) that there are black conservatives.

Unicorns aside.
