There is a sensational video just released by Republican investigators in the House of Representatives of statements made by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as she left the Capitol following the riots on January 6, 2021.
In it, Pelosi take responsibility for the lack of adequate security measures in the Capitol to contain the riot.

“We take responsibility, Terri,” Pelosi says on the videotape to her chief of staff, Terri McCullough. “We take no responsibility for what went on there, and we should have. That’s ridiculous.”
Pelosi also said, “They’re going to ask me — in the middle of it, when they’ve already violated the inauguration regulations — ‘Should we call the Capitol Police, I mean the National Guard?’ Why wasn’t the National Guard there from the beginning?”
McCullough responded as the spokesman’s SUV sped through an underground parking garage: “They thought they had adequate … resources.”
Pelosi responded, visibly frustrated: “No, the question is not how they did it … They don’t know. They obviously didn’t know. And I take responsibility for not simply preparing them for more.”
McCullough appeared to be referring to the Capitol Police when she said “they” believed they had sufficient resources.
The video was shot by Pelosi’s daughter Alexandra as part of her HBO documentary. The House Oversight Committee requested the video from HBO as part of its investigation. The footage received has never been released to the public.
Why is this only coming out now? Why did it take so long to come out?
It’s another nail in the coffin of efforts to blame former President Donald Trump, with Pelosi herself admitting she failed by not taking responsibility for what happened, saying, “That’s what we should have done.”

Pelosi’s spokesperson claimed this was a “clip taken out of context” and that “numerous independent fact-checkers have confirmed that Speaker Pelosi did not plan her own assassination.” Sounds like they’re upset that this has finally come out.
But now Republicans are not holding back. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said this has caused the entire Democratic argument to implode.
