Washington (Nexstar) – The future of the US Ministry of Education is now uncertain after President Donald Trump has signed an order from the executive to raise the agency. This happens after the Trump government released about half of the department employees at the beginning of this month.
The White House emphasizes that the order of the executive will bring education back into the hands of states, but educational lawyers already promise to combat the presidents’ measures in court.
With the stroke, President Trump dismantled the Federal Ministry of Education and promised that his closure will have no effect on public services.
“Probably the costs will be half and the training may be many, many times better,” said Trump.
The educational department sends billions every year at public schools that make up about 14% of the K-12 school budget.
The Minister of Education Linda McMahon says that the Executive Ordinance will remove bureaucracy and that governors, educators and parents will enable “to adapt the training for your community for your students”.
The Republican governor of Tennessee, Bill Lee, says exactly what states want.
“We know what our children need. We know how we can educate them unique,” said Lee.
Educational groups, including the National Education Association, argue that students and students will suffer with low incomes with disabilities.
“This is not about the test results. This is about providing tax breaks for the billionaires,” said Nea Vice President President Moss.
The congress founded the educational department in 1979 to combat the separation, and would probably have to act to completely close the agency.
The house was of the opinion that in 2023, but 60 Republicans opposed the Democrats such as the Congress Member of Indiana, Andre Carson.
“I ask my Republican friends to be courageous in their reviews to President Trump.”
Students are planning to protest against the measures of the President by bringing their desks and homework on the doorstep of the educational department in Washington, DC
