Eight demonstrators were arrested. Congressional Baseball Game on Wednesday night for storming the field. In a video posted to X, the arena can be heard chanting “USA! USA! USA!” as protesters are attacked and led off the field. An unidentified person in the video shouts, “Get them out of here!”
A group called Climate Defiance claimed responsibility for the stunt. Protesters carried signs and T-shirts reading “Stop playing with our future” and “End fossil fuels.”
The group, like most deranged activists, considers this a victory. They posted a response on their X account, celebrating that the baseball game was interrupted. They included a video of the ordeal with their statement. Some would be embarrassed if they were attacked, but common sense is usually not an issue with these radicals.

The Congressional Baseball Game is a day when both sides try to come together for a good cause. Can’t we have a good cause? The noisy “USA!” chants in the arena represent the majority of Americans who are fed up with protests and extremism. The reactions to X show that most people are mocking the group rather than taking them seriously for the stunt.
At least one positive thing can be said: This might be one of the few protests all year that actually results in arrests. I guess our government didn’t want to embarrass itself on its only night together. Or maybe it was the Republicans who pushed for the arrests. I’m sure we’ll hear from Bernie Sanders and his posse by Thursday. For now, we can all have fun watching these activists get trolled on X – and watching them get attacked for fun again.
