Washington (Nexstar) – from the termination of diversity programs to the imposition of tariffs and the withdrawal from international agreements, President Donald Trump quickly pulled to meet his second -term campaign promises. While the administration and the Republicans announce the first 100 days as a number of large victories in the congress, the Democrats agreed.

“I really think that the next 100 days will be even better,” said Trump.

The administration declared the first three months of the term an “absolute success” and pointed out more than 120 signed orders.

“We have a president who has control that does exactly what he said. And there are no surprises,” said Harrison Fields of the White House.

The early measures of Trump include the removal of Dei programs for diversity, equity and inclusion (Dei), the reduction of federal employees, the expenses, the withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement and the World Health Organization as well as the expansion of enforcement of immigration.

“This president is locked up and he loves what he does. He has the clearest sense of the purpose,” said former representative Lee Zeldin (Rn.Y.).

Trump’s economic policy, in particular the implementation of modern tariffs, disrupted world trade and contributed to market volatility.

“When the American leadership is back in the Oval Office, the world not only notices our allies. The most important thing is that our opponents know that the world is no longer its playground,” added Fields.

The Republicans say to function Trump’s aggressive approach.

“He told you that he would close the border. Boom. Day one, the border, the border closed,” said Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.).

“Lower petrol prices, as we already see, help to reduce inflation,” said Rep. Dan Meuser (R-Pa.).

“He focuses on the needs of the American people. And we see that,” said Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas.).

Democrats push back and argue that the government’s approach is harmful and unconstitutional.

“Donald Trump’s first 100 days can be defined by a large F-word: failure,” said Chuck Schumer, majority leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.).

“Trump’s unconstitutional attack on the American lifestyle is unprecedented,” said Hakeem Jeffries, leader of the house minor (DN.Y.).

Todd Belt, director of George Washington University and Professor of Political Management, said Trump’s supporter could experience the buyer’s remorse.

“If you look at the trust of consumers and where people believe that the economy is going, it’s pretty dark. Donald Trump did not give people the certainty they need,” said Belt.

Nevertheless, Belt stated that Trump’s foreign policy steps, especially with regard to Ukraine and Russia, agree with his previous tactics.

“This is he who brings his negotiating style to the international arena, which, to be honest, does not work that way or is not expected,” he said.

Belt added that Trump’s urgency may be aimed at helping Republicans in the 2026 stomach, but said too early to evaluate the long -term effects of the president’s strategy.
