Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, a former US senator from Florida, will take the role of the national security advisor, according to Trump.
“Together we will continue to fight tirelessly to make America and the world safe. Thank you for your attention for this matter!” The President wrote.
Strikes on Houthi rebels
Waltz ‘apparent fall of the National Security Council occurred five weeks after the so -called signal gate.
The editor -in -chief of Atlantic Magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg, unveiled Waltz had probably accidentally invited him to a group chat from high-ranking civil servants, to which Vice President JD Vance and discussed specific plans for strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Defense Minister Pete Hegseth and other cabinet members contested that all classified information in the chat in the commercially available app signal was shared, which asked Goldberg to publish the chat transcript, that detailed Specific times and locations of the military strikes before their planned start.
In the group chat on March 15, Waltz wrote “Amazing Job”, a few minutes after landing rockets, followed by Emojis for a Faust, an American flag and an American fire, according to Goldberg, which became the signal group news in real time a few minutes before the news about the US bombs in Yemen became public.
The New York Times has since unveiled That Hegseth divided details about the same Yemen strikes in a separate signal group chat, which included his wife, brother and his personal lawyer. Hegseth has repeated contested Any misconduct.
When contacting Waltz’s departure from the NSC, the White House focused the state’s news space on the social report of the President of the President.
Confirmation of the Senate is predicted
Waltz will now look at hearings and voices in front of the senators for a contribution that Trump originally referred to for the US MP Elise Stefanik in New York. Stefanik withdrew from the race to stay among the Republicans of the Republicans as insurance against the party’s razor -thin margin.
Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the best democrat of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, described Waltz ‘outcome as “abrupt release”, “further evidence of chaos and incompetence, which prevailed in office in office above President Trump’s white and National Security”.
“The impressive turnover of leading employees in both the National Security Council and the Pentagon is alarming. Cleaning of high -ranking military officers, mass shots of top career officers for the perceived political infidelity and the illegal demolition of American foreign policy institutions only violates our security and signals for our neuter.
Shaheen added: “We should remember that it was secretary Hegseth, who initially shared this material and did this a second time with his family. He also has to be held accountable.”
