Washington (AP) President Donald Trump uses Dr. Casey Means, an influencer of doctor, the close connections to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as his candidate for the general surgeon after returning his first choice for the influential health post.
Trump said in a social media post on Wednesday, which means that you refer to the “flawless ‘Maha’ references” in reference to the slogan “Make America Loved Again” and that she will work on eradication of chronic diseases and improve the health and well-being of the Americans.
“Your academic achievements together with your life’s work are absolutely excellent,” said Trump. “Dr. Casey means the potential to be one of the best surgeons in the history of the United States.”
Trump pulled the former Fox Medical-acting Janette Nesheiwat back from the exam for the job and marks at least the second health-related choice of Trump, which is to be withdrawn from taking into account the Senate. Nesheiwat should appear on Thursday before the Senate Committee for Health, Education, Working and Pension Committee for the Senate for confirmation.
The mean values and her brother, the former lobbyist Calley, served as an significant consultant at Kennedy’s Longshot 2024 Presidential offer and helped to confirm Trump last summer. In interviews and articles, Means and her brother describe a dizzying network of influences that are responsible for the health problems of the nation, including corrupt food conglomerates that have delighted Americans on unhealthy diets and are dependent on daily drugs from pharmaceutical industry for the treatment of obesity, diabetes and other chronic conditions.
Only a few health experts would deny that the American diet – full of processed food – makes a contribution to obesity and associated problems. But it continues and combines changes in nutrition and lifestyle with a number of diseases, including infertility, Alzheimer’s, depression and erectile dysfunction.
“Almost every chronic health symptom that deals with Western medicine is the result of our cells that are used by the way,” says a book from 2024 written with her brother.
Food experts say it is too straightforward to explain that all processed foods are harmful, since the designation covers 60% of US foods, including the different products as muesli, peanut butter and potato chips.
“They are not all created the same,” said Gabby Hadrick, nutritionist at the School of Public Health at George Washington University. “It is much more complicated than just showing the finger on ultra-processed foods as drivers of chronic diseases in the United States.”

If it had been confirmed as a general surgeon, the funds would aid promote Kennedy’s extensive Maha agenda, which requires the removal of thousands of additives and chemicals from US foods, conflicts of interest in federal authorities and incentives for healthier food in school and other nutritional programs.
Nesheiwat, Trump’s first choice, is a medical director of a urging care company in New York and regularly appeared in Fox News to offer medical expertise and findings. She is a noisy supporter of Trump and shares photos of them together on social media. Nesheiwat is also the sister -in -law of the former national security consultant Mike Waltz, who was nominated as Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations.
But recently she was from Laura Loomer, a right -wing extremist ally of Trump, who had contributed to suppressing several members of the President’s National Security Council. Loomer published on X at the beginning of this week that “We cannot have a Pro-Covid vaccine-new officer who is currently involved in a case for medical misconduct and who did not go to the medical faculty in the USA” as a general surgeon.
The independent freelance journalist Anthony Clark reported last month that Nesheiwat issued her medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten, even though she has a degree at the Medical School of Medicine at the University of Arkansas. The White House pulled Nesheiwat’s nomination due to doubts about their confirmation prospects, according to a person who is familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss the reasoning of the administration.
“I look forward to continuing to support President Trump and closely working with secretary Kennedy in a high -ranking political role in order to make America well again! My focus is still on improving the health and well -being of all Americans, and this mission has not changed,” wrote Nesheiwat on social media on Wednesday.
