Another troubling sign of Biden’s failed re-election bid: Multiple reports suggest that Generation Z – those born between 1996 and 2010 – are increasingly dissatisfied with Joe Biden’s performance and will not vote for him in November. Some are considering what they thought was unthinkable four years ago – voting for Donald Trump.

Even ethically questionable Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz had to admit in an article on Thursday that the trend is not in Biden’s favor. It seems that a whole bunch of newborn people are irate that Biden has threatened to ban TikTok from America if China doesn’t sell it. A group once known as TikTok for Biden, now calling itself Gen-Z for Change, is no longer as fully behind the president as it was in 2020:

“Biden is not on the side of young people on a number of key issues,” said the coalition’s founder, 20-year-old Aidan Kohn-Murphy, who called “the frustration of young progressive leaders a barometer of widespread discontent among Generation Z voters.”

On TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Twitch, anger and resentment against Biden are boiling over among Gen Z content creators. They say they feel disillusioned and betrayed by Biden’s positions on a range of issues, including the war in Gaza, the climate crisis and the president’s decision to support a potential TikTok ban. The divide has been exacerbated by the White House’s evolving strategy of courting amiable influencers and shutting out others critical of the administration.

But it’s much more than just social media that’s making Gen Z panic. They see the high prices, they see that their parents lived in a world where they could buy a home and raise a family in safety. They no longer think of Biden’s America as that place.

RedState employee Buzz Patterson comments:

Here, 20-year-old Steton Sullivan explains why he wants nothing to do with left-wing politics:

Mr. Sullivan says he was drawn to conservative politics by the hardships of contemporary life. Older Americans were able to build homes and livelihoods with entry-level jobs when they were younger.

“My generation doesn’t understand how this is possible because everything is so much more expensive these days,” he said.

The fact is that more and more newborn people feel repelled by the 80-year-old head of government:

In this year’s election, millennials and Generation Z voters – a group that includes people up to the age of 40 – voted for Mr Biden more often than any other demographic.

Four years later, Biden and Trump are once again in a neck-and-neck race for the presidency, and there are signs that change is afoot.

Recent polls by the New York Times, Siena College and the Philadelphia Inquirer in six key swing states found Trump and Biden virtually tied among younger and Hispanic voters.

The lack of enthusiasm is likely to be very worrying for the campaign:

Earlier this spring, the Harvard Youth Poll showed that enthusiasm for Trump is much higher among younger people than for Biden, and an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found that 62 percent of that group has an unfavorable opinion of Biden, while Trump enjoys a favorable rating overall. (The Harvard poll showed a stronger opinion for Biden, although his eight percentage point lead among 18- to 29-year-olds was significantly smaller than it was four years ago.)

A newborn man stands up for the former president:

“Trump running and becoming president is a huge deal for us and our generation,” said 19-year-old Judah Bredinger, who plans to cast his first presidential vote in his life for the Republican candidate this year.

Many people make fun of Generation Z and say they’re inactive, but it’s true that they’re dealing with a different – worse – country than people were dealing with just four years ago. I know this because two of my kids are in their early to mid-twenties, and while they’re both fighters, they’re honestly discouraged. It’s strenuous to barely have enough money for an apartment and gas for the car, let alone save for a down payment on a house.

Young people could be a key factor in getting this man out of the White House and back to the beaches of Delaware where he can sleep – and that would be a wonderful thing indeed.
