Nancy Pelosi is losing control.
The former Democratic House Speaker is the walking personification of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Her hatred for the former (and likely next) president burns red sizzling, as evidenced by her petulant, childish, immature and inappropriate incident where she ripped up her copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address in 2020. Now she’s just getting downright pathetic, as we see in her recent interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, where she implored the Trump family and the GOP to “stage an intervention” to prevent Trump’s candidacy. Why? Probably because she sees that he wins.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) called former President Trump an “impostor” in an interview on Thursday and demanded that someone “intervene” on his behalf.
“He knows he’s crazy,” Pelosi told MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell. “He knows he’s a con artist.”
“But I wish that his family would intervene, assuming they love him beyond their means … that they would intervene,” she said, adding that she also hoped “the Republican Party would intervene.”
An intervention? Is she grave? It seems so.
Trump, well, Trump, has come down demanding on them for their role in the January 6 riots.
“Nancy Pelosi was in charge of security. She turned down 10,000 soldiers,” he told NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. “If she hadn’t turned down the soldiers, January 6 would not have happened.”
It would have been extremely entertaining to see Nancy Pelosi’s face when she heard that.

The really great thing about all this is that Nancy Pelosi, the one who tears up government documents, the one who is on fire for anything to do with Trump, is a prime example of everything that is wrong with United States politics today. She has become immensely affluent on her relatively modest congressional salary, especially during her term as SpeakerShe has some amazingly profitable stock transactionsand if you think your stock market is on the right track, I can sell you a bridge in Brooklyn.
In brief, she embodies everything that is wrong with American politics in one obsolete package. She is malicious, corrupt, venal, furious, and did I mention she is corrupt?
There are good arguments for and against term limits. I generally find the arguments for term limits more compelling, but opponents have some good points to make. On the side of those who support this argument are Nancy Pelosi and her ilk. She has made a career in a role the Founding Fathers intended as a short-lived term for citizen legislators. And today, now, in this interview, as well as others she has given recently, it is clear that she is failing mentally and physically.
But she is in good company among the national Democrats.
However, tune in and watch on election night. If Trump comes out on top in the Electoral College – and at the time of writing, there is much evidence that he will, are that he — watch for any public statement from Nancy Pelosi or any of her Democratic colleagues in the final stages of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It will be glorious – glorious, I tell you!
