Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the American Bar Association (ABA) on Thursday that the Trump government would no longer work together if the organization checked its judicial candidates.

In a letter, the Ministry of Justice (DOJ) of the Chamber of Law accuses “not to remedy the tendency in its rating process”, an assertion that follows the organization that some of the candidates of President Trump describes as unqualified for the bank.

“Unfortunately, ABA no longer acts as a fair referee of the candidates’ qualifications, and their ratings and demonstrably prefer candidates who have presented democratic administrations,” Bondi wrote in the letter to ABA President William Bay.

“Accordingly, the ABA, together with other activist organizations, freely comment on the judicial nominations, but there is no justification for treating the ABA differently than other activist organizations, and the Ministry of Justice will not do so. In particular, the office of legal guidelines will no longer provide any direct nominated.

The ABA did not respond to a request for comments.

The White House took a similar attitude during Trump’s first office in office.

According to Ballotpedia, the ABA 264 rated Trump’s candidates: 187 were rated as “well -qualified”, 67 were rated “qualified” and 10 were rated as “not qualified”.

Although a tiny number, this is contrary to other recent administrations that had a maximum of three unrestricted picks during their tenure.

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL.), The Supreme Democrat in the Senate Justice Committee, took the step as “unjustified and obviously political step of the Trump government”.

“This decision reveals a practice that has been available among republican and democratic administrations for almost 70 years in order to assure unrestricted and extreme candidates who would collapse under an impartial review by her colleagues,” Durbin wrote in a statement, which described as a “seismic change”.

“This decision will ultimately alleviate the confirmation process for Trump candidates who have proven a distortion against protected classes, not to have the judicial temperament in order to rule fairly from the bank, or do not have the necessary experience to confirm life as a federal court that have a negative impact on generations of Americans.”

The Trump government has taken a number of measures aimed at ABA.

The Minister of Education Linda McMahon instructed an executive regulation of Trump to check whether the role of ABA should be suspended as a school school.

The organization also sued the stripping of scholarships that restricted their training programs abroad, as well as another at the Ministry of Justice for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

In the case of the doj, the judge found that the ABA’s goal violated the rights of the first change in the group.

“The government does not employ the merits of the retribution claim of the ABA calculation measures.

“It admits that similar subsidies exist by other organizations. [Todd] Blanche in his memorandum, ”he added.
