Albany, NY (AP) – New York Lt., Governor Antonio Delgado, announced on Monday that he will challenge his boss, governor Kathy Hochul, next year, months after a feud between the two democrats, in the governor race in public.

In a brief campaign video, Delgado tried to introduce himself to the voters, to emphasize his educational background and to offer a broad preview of his platform.

(*2*) he said.

Delgado has been pointing out a primary challenge against Hochul for months and said at the beginning of this year that he would not run together with the governor to re -election, speculate about his future and the office of Hochul in order to lower him from the tasks of his ceremonial post.

For Hochul, who appointed Delgado after her former lieutenant had been charged, the announcement will come because it is expected to be exposed to a tough re -election campaign next year, with sedate opponents.

The US MP Elise Stefanik, a Republican who is considering a run against Hochul, published an explanation with the inscription after Delgado’s announcement: “Let us fire Hochul in 2026.”

“Her own lieutenant, whom she selected by hand, is now in the foreground and shows that she lost support not only from Republicans and independent, but also from democratic New York support,” said Stefanik.

Delgado and Hochul have long been disagreed. The discord between the two guides last year became clear last year in the presidential election when the governor of Leutnant asked former President Joe Biden to give his re -election offer, while Hochul was one of the largest supporters and replacement of biden.

After the election, Delgado wrote an op-ET for the New York Times, in which the Democrats argued “ready for the next generation” and argued that the party would not be successful with the same politicians who tell the same elderly stories.

During a further break with Hochul, Delgado called the New York Mayor Eric Adams to withdraw when the mayor fought against his now dismismic corruption, while the governor was measured much more in her approach.

The position of the governor of the lieutenant to Adam led to a spokesman for the governor in which she published an explanation in which “lieutenant governor Delgado did not speak on behalf of this administration.”

Delgado was previously used in the US house before becoming a lieutenant governor.
