Washington (Nexstar) – The Republicans of the Senate are pushing comprehensive changes to university formation in their version of the massive budget law of President Donald Trump.
US Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Who presented the chair of the Senate Committee, Education, Labor and Pensions of the Senate in the Senate, wants college graduates at least make diminutive payments for their loans instead of receiving aid from taxpayers without any degrees.
“You could owe hundreds of thousands of $ duties and take these debts to someone who never went to college, even though they will go out and have a better paid job,” said Cassidy.
Cassidy’s legislation would reduce the repayment of the student loan to two options and limit the amount that the Americans can take for college.
“‘Oh, you can borrow more? We increase our tuition fees.’ The university makes great, but the student is burdened with hundreds of thousands of debt, “said Cassidy. “We will stop that too.”
Cassidy said that this piece of the overall package would save taxpayers at least 300 billion US dollars. However, Democrats argue that these are not savings, but harmful cuts.
“We defend ourselves against the Republicans every step of the way,” said Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) of Senate Minister.
Schumer wants the Americans to concentrate on the health shortlements in the GOP bill, in particular on this third anniversary of the Supreme US Court, ROE v. Wade picks up.
“This is a backdoor abdominal ban on the bill,” said Schumer.
While Schumer said that the Republicans are still trying to say goodbye to a nationwide ban, Cassidy said that legislation would not affect states in which the abortion is still legal.
“If you are in California, don’t change for you,” said Cassidy.
The Republicans of the Congress want to send the draft law to President Trump by July 4.
