BEST MORNING

CNN freaks out because MAGA Republicans call the US a “Republican” – and the gigantic problem it brings to delicate

If they only hear “democracy,” they will not understand that we are so much more than that. The Democrats seem to want to make us even smaller.

OH DUMB: Chuck Schumer goes viral and gets a picture of the sun for what he just did to a burger

Additionally, the grill images make it look like Mike Dukakis is wearing hats or Joe Biden is wearing a Kansas City Chiefs helmet.

What you just saw didn’t happen: Obama and White House deny Biden froze at H’Wood fundraiser on Saturday

You can keep telling us that we don’t see what we see, but I can tell you who is watching with crystal clear vision: the American people.

WHAT IS ON OFFER?

Today on Capitol Hill…

All is silent on the Capitol front on Monday. No meetings or hearings scheduled. Perhaps Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is still busy heating up his grill. No word yet on when Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) plans to try to force a vote on her contempt of Congress resolution regarding Attorney General Merrick Garland—there will likely be a scramble when/if she does.

White House, what’s going on

After a busy week of trips to Normandy, the G7 summit and a tour of the stage in Hollywood, President Joe Biden will take it simple on Monday. Other than his “Daily Briefing” in the morning, nothing is on his agenda. In the afternoon, press secretary Karine Jean Pierre will hold a press conference. Later in the afternoon, Biden will hold a bilateral meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in the Oval Office.

Full speed ahead…

The trial of Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) on corruption and bribery charges in the Southern District of New York is still briefly suspended because his co-defendant is diseased with COVID. The case is currently scheduled to resume on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Star News Digitial and its editor-in-chief Michael Leahy Court date on Monday in Nashville, Tennessee, for a hearing regarding recently leaked documents related to the Covenant School shooter.

MORNING THOUGHTS

After this recent interrogation incident with Chuck Schumer, I think it’s time to have a solemn discussion about politicians and photo ops. Actually, we can forget about it. There is no need for discussion. Political press secretary, listen up:

  • Do not let your pet wear a head covering
  • Do not let your pet grill or cook
  • Don’t let your charges show off their million-dollar devices filled with extravagant ice cream and the like
  • Do not allow your protégé to attempt to handle or fire a weapon
  • And whatever you do, don’t let your protégé try to eat a corn dog at a fair.

LIGHTER FOOD

Still not on my bucket list…
