Washington (Nexstar)-the Republicans celebrate a double victory in Washington: a strict than expected job report in June and the adoption of President Trump’s so-called “big, beautiful draft law”.
The spokesman for the house, Mike Johnson (R-La.)
“The report on the fourth job in a row exceeds expectations,” said Johnson. “You have to keep your applause; there are too many victories. Are you tired of winning?”
According to the modern federal data, the United States added 147,000 jobs in June. The unemployment rate also sank slightly and continued a number of positive work reports.
Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, wrote the administration guidelines, in particular the newly adopted invoice, which includes significant tax benefits for increasing trust.
“The performance of the economy was exactly what President Trump promised,” said Hassett. “It is exceeded expectations on Wall Street. And that is because this calculation comes. People know it and they recognize that.”
Nevertheless, some economists urge caution. Mark Hamrick, Senior Economic Analyst at banking rate, said that the decline in unemployment could be to mask deeper work challenges.
“A victory is a victory,” said Hamrick. “But we see a falling employment participation. Fewer people work or look for work that makes it easier to lower the unemployment rate.”
Hamrick also warned that tariffs and the government’s modern aggressive deportation policy burden the labor market and wages – and inflation – could sharpen.
“This could mean a higher inflation, since inadequate employees are available in which more employees have to be paid more,” he said.
Democrats argue that the modern draft law cuts too deep into health programs and warns that it will cost jobs over time.
“I guarantee that we will see over time, and if these resources are no longer available, we will see it-and people will suffer,” said Rep. Danny Davis (d-il.).
