Charleston, W.Va. (Wowk) – The Republican Party West Virginia is looking for its fresh guide.
Three candidates for GOP chair were named; Everyone comes in the political area for different backgrounds.
This happened after the former GOP chairman Matt Herridge resigned and said that he had to focus on his other role as a cabinet secretary for the Ministry of Commerce of West Virginia.
One of the candidates, delegate Josh Holstein (R), received the confirmation of the US Senator Jim Justice (R).
Holstein said that the confirmation was granted after a few talks with Senator Justice and he wanted to work on the Republican image. He said it was not always with her message.
“One of the things we are missing as a party is efficient communication,” said Holstein. “As a chosen civil servant, I had to learn how to communicate with people and understand their needs, understand their wishes and we have to do that as a party.”
“We have our battles out of the public. One of the things I would like to do is to help us solve these problems behind closed doors and present a uniform face that is progressed,” he said.
The candidate Michael George has worked as a communicator behind the scenes on political campaigns, and now he wants a role in the front and in the party.
He wants to concentrate on the individuality of all 55 counties and hear their concerns.
“Everything starts with the fact that it really listens,” said George. “It really does. You see the things that will be successful in these different areas.”
“I will be able to go, to go, to listen and to find out what your individual needs are and how I can help you with your news, how to bring out the word and how to show people that the West Virginia we have, you know,”, he said.
The third candidate, Wes Perry, believes that West Virginia is about to be on the national stage. where people want to settle and build their lives.
He said he could push the mountain state over this hurdle.
“When we look around in states such as Texas, Florida and Tennessee, we see booming economies and places where patriots move, life and families want to raise,” said Perry. “West Virginia has all the same ingredients that are next on this list.”
“I think the ‘freedom quotient’ in our state will continue to grow and attract more like -minded people to our state,” he said.
The decision will be made on Saturday, July 26th at a meeting in Morgantown.
