Washington-Die Trump government said on Friday that it would soon be released in the education department that have been frozen for weeks and will delay the payments to K-12 schools across the country.

Financing in the training of migrants, English learners and other programs goes out before July 1st, but the administration informed schools Instead, only a day earlier it recorded 6.8 billion US dollars, while the employees carried out a review. Members of both congress parties rejected the move.

The educational department released 1.3 billion US dollars for programs before and after school as well as summer programs in mid-July, but the rest of the financing stopped.

Madi Biedermann, a spokesman for the Ministry of Education, wrote in an e -mail to States newsroom that the budget office of the White House “has completed its review of the remaining accounts” and “instructed the department to publish all formula”.

The administration will send the school districts next week, Biedermann wrote.

Accompany cheers

The Republican senator of Maine, Susan Collins, chair of the appropriation committee, wrote in a statement that “funds for the operation of the public schools are of essential importance and support everything from lessons to adult education”.

“I am pleased that the administration agreed to publish this with excitement awaited resources according to the public of my colleagues and me,” wrote Collins. “I will continue to work to ensure that educational tools are delivered immediately so that schools have a reasonably time to plan their finances for the upcoming school year so that the students can return to the right schools this autumn.”

Collins and nine other Republican senators wrote a letter to Office of Management and Household Director Russ, who asked at the beginning of this month, “faithfully implement” the congress of the output allowance approved in March.

“The decision of withholding this financing contradicts President (Donald) Trump’s goal of returning the K-12 formation to the States,” wrote the GOP senators. “This financing goes directly to states and local school districts in which the local guides decide how this financing is issued, because as we know, the local communities know how to best serve students and families.

“Holding back this financing refuses to pursue states and municipalities to pursue localized initiatives to support students and their families.”

The Republican Senator of West Virginia, Shelley Moore Capito, chairman of the subcommittee for funds that finance the educational department, wrote in a statement published on Friday that she was glad that the financing was seen unpredictable.

“The programs are those who enjoy long-term, cross-party support such as post-school and summer programs, offer the learning and enrichment opportunities for children of school age who also enable their parents to work and contribute to the local economy, and programs to support learners for adults who work to acquire employment skills, acquire workers, or to transition into the replica Capito. “That is why it is critical that we continue to protect and support these programs.”
