Washington – As a survivor of abuse, which the slow sex offender Jeffrey Epstein led to the publication of investigative files on the Capitol Hill on Wednesday, the Republican accused by Kentucky, Thomas Massie, House GOP leader, “the oldest trick in the swamp” to avoid the problem.
An unusually huge amount gathered in front of the US house to hear from the women who, in some cases, began in some cases at the age of 14 of Epstein and the convicted co-confessed Ghislaine Maxwell.
The speakers included the family of the slow Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who was charged with Maxwell and died of suicide at the beginning of this year.
In the speech after the speech, the victims asked the congress and President Donald Trump to open the federal authorities in relation to the reach of Epstein’s abuse, and expressed himself especially for the support of Massie’s cross -party efforts that would be the leadership of the house and would force the release of volumes of records.
“The congress must choose – will you continue to protect predators or finally protect the survivors?” Said Lisa Phillips, who found victims from Epstein on his private Caribbean island and is now organizing a podcast about healing after abuse.
The government’s investigation into Epstein’s widespread sexual abuse has determined and Republicans with a fragmented house Since July, as Trump’s administration explained It would not share any further information about the mighty and well -networked financier. Epstein died in a prison cell in Manhattan in 2019 and waited and waited under the legal proceedings for federal trading for minors.
Epstein surrounded himself with celebrities and politicians, including Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
Trump was committed to publishing what he and many call “Epstein files”, and for years many of his followers, including some in his administration, have been on conspiracy theories over the scandal.
Discharge Petition Roils House
“There are real victims of this criminal company, and the perpetrators are protected because they are rich and powerful and political donors of the establishment here in Washington, DC, so we are today with these survivors,” said Massie at the press conference of outdoors.
Massie and House Democrat Ro Khanna from California require only two further republican signatures for a discharge petition that would trigger the publication of the Epstein Fall file that skipped the management of the house.

The spokesman for House, Mike Johnson, instead asked his party on Wednesday to support a symbolic measure in which an already ongoing GOP-led committee examination was approved.
Khanna and GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia welcomed the victims alongside Massie in Capitol Hill.
“This is the most significant struggle that we can lead here in the congress and fight for innocent people who have never received justice, and the women behind me have never received justice. And do you want to know why?
Republican representatives Lauren Boebert from Colorado and Nancy Mace from South Carolina have signed with Massie and Greene petition. All Democrats in the house that has a split from 219-212 will probably be signed.
Locked by Epstein
With the US Capitol as a backdrop, numerous women told stories that were lured at the age of 14, of money and possibilities that Epstein had offered them.
Annie Farmer said she was 16 when she and her sister were flown to New Mexico to spend a weekend with Epstein and Maxwell, where she said that they were attacked and photographed. Her sister later reported her sexual abuse towards the authorities this year.
“I am now 46 years elderly. Thirty years later we still don’t know why this report was not properly examined or why Epstein and his employees are allowed to harm hundreds, if not thousands of other girls and adolescent women.
“We were never told whether these pictures were found when they discovered a large degree of sexual abuse material from children on his property,” said Farmer, who in both cases said publicly against Epstein and Maxwell.
Farmer said it was for many years as if Epstein’s abusive behavior was “an open secret” and that his network of powerful friends “looked in the other direction because they benefited”.
Farmer called for a thorough public review of the government’s results in the Epstein case.
“At a time with highly record mistrust in our institutions and the perception that there are two America-one for those with power and privilege and one for all other, an important step to pass this Epstein transparency law that can be undertaken to prove that the government is not with sexual perpetrators,” she said.
Jena-Lisa Jones told the huge crowd that Epstein abused her at the age of 14.
“I know that I was only a little child, but sometimes I still have the feeling that it is my fault that this happened,” she said.
“If you are a member of the congress and listen to us all here today, please listen to us. Please agree that this legislation will be adopted. Please recognize how important it is for transparency in relation to Jeffrey Epstein. Whether you are a democrat or republican is not a matter of.”
Jones then appealed directly to Trump: “Please, President Trump, passes this draft law and helps us. Let us feel that our voices are finally heard.”
Trump Rebs reports about Epstein relationship back
Trump’s earlier relationship with Epstein has been under a microscope since July. The President sued the Wall Street Journal for reporting over 50. Birthday card Trump gave Epstein. The card supposedly showed a cryptic message and a doodle of a naked woman with Trump’s characteristic, who imitated the pubic hair.
The journal too reported This Attorney General Pam Bondi informed the president in May that his name appeared in the Epstein case files. The context in which his name appeared is unclear.
Trump denied the reports.
Trump dismissed questions about the publication of the Epstein case files when they were asked by reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday afternoon.
“This is a democratic joke that never ends,” said Trump when he was sitting next to Poland President Karol Nawrocki during her previously planned meeting.
“What you try with the Epstein Hoax is to get people to talk about it, instead of talking about the enormous success like the end of seven wars. I end seven wars. Nobody will speak (that) because they will talk about the epstein,” continued Trump. Trump did not specifically describe the wars in detail.
“I understand that we were charged to give files and I understand that we have given thousands of files and I know that it will continue to go, no matter what you do.”
The house committee for supervision and government reform led by GOP published around 33,000 pages in connection with the government’s Epstein investigation on Tuesday evening. However, the collection was quickly dismissed by many observers as duplicates and objects that were already public.
“I appreciate the efforts of my colleague James Comer who heads the supervisory committee,” said Massie about his core colleagues in Kentucky. “You can find some information, but you allow the (Ministry of Justice) to curate all the information that the doj gives you. If you have looked at the pages you have published so far, you are greatly reduced. Some pages are completely reduced, and 97% of them are already in the public sector.”
Speaked cadades
The Comers Committee also charged a testimony of Clinton as well as the former Foreign Minister Hillary Clinton and numerous former Ministry of Justice for both the democratic and republican administrations.
Massie informed the reporters on Wednesday that spokesman Johnson asked the colleagues not to support the dismissal petition of the Republican of Kentucky and instead to vote for a procedural rule to support the examination of the supervisory committee. However, an examination of the committee requires no basis for the procedure.
“My message to my colleagues was:” Don’t sit down. “Yes, the speaker’s decision will temporarily give you political cover, but there are millions of people who observe this,” said Massie.
Members of the House Oversight Committee met on Tuesday with several Epstein victims.
Johnson from Louisiana said that Massie and Khanna’s petition was “in dispute and unnecessary”.
“The examination of the supervisory committee has not yet been completed. They are already producing the documents that are covered, the white house is fully compliant. The administration deliberately fulfills the lectures because they also want maximum transparency.
